Works, if you know how to use it.
Ultimately, it's candy. If you don't keep it dessicated it's going to clump.As long as you use it wisely, it'll do it's job. Water dissolves sugar and once you mix it with anything that has water content it'll start popping. Ganash? Serve immediately or it will go 'flat'. Tempered chocolate? Works fine.

Heartbroken..
I’ve ordered these twice now. The first order was fantastic but the second one came in today and all of the little crystals were clumped together and there was no “pop” when we tried to use them. Wish I could get a replacement but this item is not eligible for a return. :(

May not be for overnight use
I bought 1 pound and it came in two 8 oz packages which was nice. These had no taste but had a pleasant popping for a few hours when I tested by placing it in a small bowl of ganache. Then I added these crystals in chocolate shells and poured ganache over it. I was hoping it would still pop after an overnight chill, unfortunately it didn’t having its popping power. Next time I would try to mix it into chocolate instead of ganache and see if that will last even longer.
