Ordered one and my dvr wouldn't recognize it i got in touch with customer service and they immediately shipped me another no questions asked and the first one was def a misfire because as soon as i installed the replacement it recognize it let me format and Instantly had a great working a hard drive it was extremely easy to install on took a few mins i would def buy from them again and for sure worth what I paid for

I bought this product on April 4th by fast delivery, received it today, 7th April despite telling me I'll receive it on the 11th April. Product fitting what I ordered and run as I wished to. I heavily recommend it.

Purchased Two. One was Ok the other could not be initialized by disk manager "fatal hardware error". Returned for exchange and the replacement also defective. Was able to initialize but the would not format "hardware error".I understand these are cheap ( and manufactured in 2013) but I assumed the seller tested these before selling. Apparently not !!Not sure if Amazon pays for return shipping or seller but this has been big waste of my time.... and Amazon resources.

I was looking for a hard drive for my security system but needed something quiet because it's in bedroom. You can not hear this hard drive at all even when your ear is right next to it. Would show you a video like it says but you can't see because it's inside machine.great price .

After purchasing a 4 channel home surveillance system without a hard drive, I was somewhat in doubt as to what I needed for the DVR recording. I saw this and thought "what the heck, I'll try it". When it arrived (very quickly I might add) I was totally blown away. It fit perfectly with all the connections and the holes to install it matched perfectly! My system recognized it immediately and within a couple of minutes my system was recording on this hard drive. It's quite (actually soundless) and stays very cool although my system and monitor are hidden in a wooden cabinet. I am no electronics guru by any means, but this was so simple I feel like an expert. I highly recommend this product! BTW, this review was written about three weeks after receiving the hard drive and using it and I am still very satisfied.

Exactly 1 year in, the hard drive has been causing my PC to hang and freeze. Whatever I was working on, the file gets corrupted. I'm actually glad this drive failed, because this is so much slower than my 500GB SDD, so now I have a reason to upgrade.
