Nice for clean up!
This is a niche little tool - really nothing that a normal vacuum can't do, but it's really nice to collect my static grass and flock scraps into this vacuum so I can recycle them. As a bonus, it will mix your scraps into a nice little variety bucket, which I use to add some natural-looking variation to my builds later! If static grass wasn't an expensive supply, I'd give this product a miss. However, as I enjoy recycling it, I'm willing to buy a specialty tool and this does the job just fine.

Not for heavy stuff. Just for lightweight landscape and lite cleanup.
Used vacuum on my model railroad. Perfect for my purpose but don't expect a HUGE suction. Just enough to lift small, lightweight particles and items.

Too Little Vacuum Power
This tool is almost useless. Very slight vacuum. Also, if you turn off the vacuum with the nozzle pointed down, all the vacuumed "stuff" falls out.I owned this for about a year and rarely used it but the motor went bad so I threw it out.

Poor Product
Woodland Scenics has many great products but unfortunately this hobby vacuum isn’t one of them.The suction is terrible, has trouble picking up and holding loose ballast.The battery compartment is poorly fitted and cover pops off repeatedly.I would definitely not recommend this to any serious hobbyists.

Weak, lightly built, but somewhat functional
Overall, meh. Very weak. Very light/cheap construction. Does it’s job if you’re very gentle and use it well within the stated use / operating specs on.

Great little Vacuum
OMG this a great little vacuum for my train layout. It picks up the excess and lets me save it for future use. It is small enough to reach sensitive areas and strong enough to remove the necessary excess.

Great little vacuum.
Works very well for ballast and scenery. Took a chance when ordering it. Great power for a hand held vac. Allows me to save loose material to reuse. Nice!
