RED5 Great fun toy.
I got it as a Christmas present and I was so excited to play with it. After having a few goes it won't take off.I did not know what happen and I thought it was the end of it BUT after I had a closer look, I realise that the small screw near the top of the shaft had become loose. With a small Philips screw driver I tighten the screw and there it was flying again and the fun goes on.

Lasted one day
Not as controllable as previous similar helicopter - forward and back very slow response and on only the second charge the helicopter became unstable - one of the links between the gyro and top blade pitch had come off. When found and clipped back on it improved but soon became unstable again after a couple of crashes with a tenancy to fly in circles. Eventually it wouldn't take off without almost immediately tangling itself with clashing rotors and falling to the floor. Both links had come of with the addition of both top blade pivots having sheared off the drive stem. Possibly one had sheared previously causing the circular instability. This pin shearing was exactly the same fault which killed my previous helicopter only that one lasted months and was far more robust.

Good helicopter for beginners/children.
This RC helicopter is very good for beginners or children, the 3 channel transmitter (throttle is the left stick only function) is pretty responsive though throttle can over-react at times. It’s crash proof, has currently survived many dings thus far, lastly it has enough power to be flown outdoors though only on a still day and only at a limited signal range.I’ve had many a indoor RC helicopter, many of them absolutely junk (looks at the Syma brand!), this helicopter is the best cheap model I’ve used to date and for £15 or under its a no brainer.

Doesn’t fly
Was given as a Christmas gift. Opened today (Boxing Day) and it flew ok for first 5 mins. Then wouldn’t take off at all. Recharged and changed batteries incase it used the charge quickly but no use. A very disappointed little girl today.
