Fine Replacement for OEM
I just installed this set on the passenger side of a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited to replace the existing trim that had come slightly loose and was vibrating at speed. I had a windshield replacement a couple of years ago, and I suspect that the original got damaged during that operation. Upon removal, I found out that both the inner and outer pieces had damage. Notwithstanding what the Ford engineers originally intended, these pieces are essentially sacrificial - once removed, they are toast and must be replaced. This set looks like a factory piece, and it installed exactly the way I expected after watching numerous videos online. It did NOT come with instructions, so it is essential to do your research beforehand. It cannot be overstated how important it is to be slow, careful, and patient when installing this. Between bolts and clips, it attaches to the vehicle in fourteen (14) places and must fit around the windshield, door, hood, and fender. Test fit it multiple times because, once you expose the adhesive strip and/or start snapping clips in place, it's very difficult and risky to try to go backward. Some tips:1) use something like a wax pencil to mark the locations of the clips on the outside of the outer moulding (write on the protective plastic), so you'll know where to press (gently!!!) to get the clips to snap in2) start all bolts before tightening any of them; the included soft rubber washers can get in the way, so go slowly and do not cross-thread anything3) check that the top clip on the existing inner moulding did not remain stuck in the vehicle; if it did, gently pry it out4) the adhesive sealing strip along the windshield side of the outer moulding is very, very tacky - the protective strip kept tearing as I tried to remove it (it must be removed before you press the moulding into place); this is most delicate and frustrating step; once again, patience pays offThe bottom line is that I have no reservation in recommending this. The only feedback I might have for the manufacturer is to make it easier to remove the protective strip covering the adhesive. My plan was to pull one end of it off the side and then use this "tail" to pull the remaining part off once it was on the vehicle and I was ready to snap the clips in place. My plan was foiled when the strip kept tearing into small pieces and I had to back-track. I'd give this 4.5 stars, if that were an option, due to this issue.

Good quality, great fit, great value
The quality of this replacement part is good (very close to OEM) and the fit on my 2015 Explorer is perfect. I liked that the exposed part of the trim was covered by a cling film to prevent any marks until the trim was installed. This is a completely functional and affordable replacement part. (Tip: when removing the old trim start at the top (roof) and when installing align the pin closest to the roof first.)

Hit or Miss
I’ve gone through three tries, one with a different company then two Dorman’s. The first, cheaper company, wouldn’t even stay down at all. The first Dorman didn’t sit flush and had a pretty noticeable gap, but overall it was better than the first company I went through. When I removed it to replace with the new part I ordered, the part shattered and made a pretty good mess. Just got the second one on and it was absolutely perfect. Overall, you’ll have a pretty hit or miss experience when you don’t go through OEM but these seem like your best option out there.

Perfect fit and durable
This was a perfect fit for my 2013 Explorer. It aligned with the pillar perfectly and has had no issues. The durability is excellent. We have had no issues with the parts, and it is cheaper than the dealer.

If you have money, buy the OEM
The media could not be loaded. Probably you are here because the OEM part is expensive. Beware that the quality of this product is not the best, and you may end up wasting time and money if you get this professionally installed.I changed the passenger and driver side and went through five packages (four with Amazon and one with eBay) until I got two that worked (not perfectly, but hey, you are saving money by not buying the OEM). You first need to glue the top plastic piece because the manufacturer barely uses any glue, see the photo. You can use the J-B Weld 50139 Plastic Bonder Body Panel Adhesive and Gap Filler Syringe to glue it.The person installing it, tried and tried, but he could not get a good alignment between the top and bottom pieces. The plastic that runs across the windshield could not be aligned with the top piece. The gap that is left creates a whistling sound in the cabin when driving at freeway speeds. See the video.I returned the first two (passenger and driver side to Amazon) and got two new ones. The new ones were better regarding the alignment, but one broke two days after installing it and flew away while driving (thankfully, no one was hurt) to get it removed to send it back to Amazon.I returned it to Amazon, but Amazon refused to send a new replacement. I bought the identical product from eBay, and the difference is that eBay sent the product in a larger box covered in bubble wrap. Amazon sent the packages in the original product box, and all the packages I received were heavily beaten (probably at the warehouse).Amazon is now saying that I did not return the product completely (the top piece flew off on the freeway), and it's refusing to give my money back. If you need to return this because any part is broken and it's already installed, be sure to get it off yourself quuckly because Amazon wants to receive all the plastic garbage.Amazon says that the customer is first, but I have been dealing with two issues with them during this month, and they act like any other big corporation, be careful. If you decide to install this product, I suggest ordering it on eBay (seller Carid) because the package will be protected when sent to you.
