BKrider Round Key Ignition Switch for Harley-Davidson OEM 71428-90A

Received thew switch and immediately installed it by cutting the old switch out and soldering this one in. Did not expect the wires to be such a heavy gauge but that was my ignorance. Pretty hard to solder this to the original wiring in such a confined space. Ultimately worked great and I've had no issues. I have not experienced any problem with the key 'over turning' like some have reported. I'm a fair weather rider so I've had no issue with rain or water intrusion, however I do wash my bike often and haven't seen any problems. I installed it about a two months ago and have ridden approx a 1000 miles with no issues. Hope this helps, don't hesitate to purchase one to get that bike back on the road ASAP!

Works on my 1980 Harley Davidson XLH

Although I could have gone to a Harley Dealer with the VIN # to replace my lost Sportster key, I like the round key better as it is harder to mess with... an illusion I know but still better than the standard flat key.

The battery for a 1996 super glide would drain often. The ignition switch was at fault. This replacement fixed the issue. The 3 wires came with eyelet ends that I replaced with ind plug ends that worked with the main harness. The key ,when turned off, will fall right out very easily. Overall I would buy again.

This thing functions, but I have a problem with it sometimes. When I go to turn off my bike, sometimes it just easily goes past the "off" station and will continue beyond, and turning it back to the off spot can sometimes be a hassle. Don't get me wrong, it works and that is the bottom line, but sometimes when it works, it works ugly. Only complaint I have, other than that I would have given it a 5 star.
