Nice Gin thats not often seen makes a great martini
This is the first of several reviews I will be doing of various gins.I have something of a gin habit and rather geekily score gins for both g&t and martini on a spreadsheet (I mix 1:5 with a twist of lemon, well I don't mix it myself thats what husbands are for ) . I score out of ten and I give my go to gin (Bombay London) a 5 out of 10 to act as a baseline to judge against. We score more than once so I get an idea of how they taste over different times and occasions. Please remember these scores are personal and what I like you might not.So on to Colonel Fox'sG&T 7/10Martini 8.5/10 (for us this is a very high score)The bottle whilst not being as fancy as many modern artisan gins still does the job of keeping the gin in :). The label is quite quirky. The G and T is nice and refreshing, it definitely has the creamy feel and quite citrusy. For the martini we have paired it both with Noilly Pratt and Tesco's own brand vermouth. Whilst I prefer it with the Noilly Pratt my husband prefers it with the Tesco's bianco. In both drinks it is very smooth and again you really get that creamy feel. On making our first martini with this we were both very pleasantly surprised.Value for money this gin scores very highly we prefer it to several more expensive gins and is definitely on our buy again list.

Another average gin
It was OK but didn't think it was different enough from a host of other London Dry gins to warrant paying £5 to £10 more than you would pay for Plymouth or Beefeater.

Great with a good tonic water
Fab gin. Great with a good tonic water, bit of star anise and a few Szechuan peppercorns.

Delicious.
Fabulous gin. The bottle isn't going to last long, though.

What's not to love! a bottle of Gin with a Fox in ...
What's not to love! a bottle of Gin with a Fox in a military uniform of the label. This whimsical Gin hit all the right spots and the addition of Liquorice added a subtle sweetness to my martini. Working well in a G&T I added a lime twist and lots of Ice. Highly recommended.
