I love this leash! I have a cattle dog who has what I believe to be serrated cutting molars in his huge mouth and have watched him chew a “normal” nylon leash in half during the course of a 3 minute conversation with a neighbor. This is an extremely strong product utilizing literal climbing rope and a friggin caribiner as the connection to your dog’s collar - complete with a spin lock for added safety. I like the substantial handle and well, feels like I have a better control of my Dingo with this leash. I have the orange color which is both attractive and easy to find and suits my Red Heeler well. Now all I need to do is find a similar matching collar if they make one - though I’m doubtful my wild Thing will let me take his original one off - of if I did he’d never forgive me! A cattle dog never forgets but sometimes it’s necessary for an upgrade. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side for a “leash” but well worth the extra cost for the extended length, quality thick “climbing rope” construction, and solid choice of the caribiner for the latch/connector. Essential accessory for your larger/active breed companion that looks nice too.

This is a great leash for any active, adventurous dog! We have been using it for almost 2 weeks now and are very pleased. It's good for both neighborhood walks and hiking or other adventures. We often hike off-leash in the areas we know well, but during busy times that can be difficult as we try to avoid meeting other hikers or dogs that way. The Sierra leash is great because it's sturdy and secure but also long enough to allow plenty of freedom out in nature. I have been using this with an Embark harness to keep our pup under better control locally as well, since the leash is nice and thick, and quite sturdy. The carabiner can tighten or loosen to keep the leash attached firmly to the harness or collar, which is really handy.

Can’t say enough good things about this leash. I’ve got an extremely reactive high spirited dog who has gotten out of several other leash/harness combinations. This one uses a “lockable” high quality carabiner which is of great peace of mind when out on walks and encountering other high spirited dogs. The handle knot easily adjusts to the size of hand/wrist for additional comfort and security.

I love this leash. It is durable and the clip is secure when screwed on properly. The only "issue" I have with this leash is the handle loop is a bit long and awkward to hold unless you double wrap it around you hand.

I got this leash after the typical leash with the normal clasp unhooked itself (got stuck on harness) and she got loose and was bit by another dog and retaliated and bit back...she was a MUCH bigger dog than her attacker, both were fine but still.... I love that I can "lock" the carabiner in place, so I know it won't unclasp itself. The leash is stiff at first but loosens up after a few days of use. I've had this leash for 2 years now and it's held up SO WELL. Besides the dirt from daily use, it looks brand new still - no snags, tears, wearing out! It a really great leash!

Couldn't be happier with my purchase. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, Any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed, which made me feel valued as a customer.I have a strong pup, but this leash has held up remarkably well, showing no signs of wear or tear as of yet. It gives me peace of mind knowing that it can handle even the most energetic training/walks.

While the Amazon description gives good details, the actual product did not mention break strength anywhere on the packaging, so I'm a bit worried about that. It's thin rope, so it's not particularly fun to hold. (A $10 climbing rope leash I bought previously was much thicker and easier on the hands — this is just about comfort and not necessarily about strength.) The clip on it does not seem particularly sturdy, either. Without handle padding, I will definitely not order this again, but I'm not upset enough to return it. I do plan on modifying this myself, which doesn't thrill me, but it happens. We'll see how it lasts!

The media could not be loaded. The only things I didn't like about the leash is how thin it was and how some of mine had small points where it is beginning to fray. To me it's not a big deal though, it's bound to happen eventually but I really love how vibrant the teal color is. The locking function is great because normal clipping ones come undone when my puppy has the zoomies. It's also a very reasonable price, thank you so much!
