Different style of metal.

This is the greatest Burzum album so far, really an masterpiece of the Dark Ambient-Burzum era.Highly recommended.

Not a lot of people ive talked to about this album enjoyed it as much as albums previously released by Varg. Since he stressed his lack of desire to associate with his old 'satanic' blackmetal days and his newfound 'pagan' interests (argue if you must, but varg re-ignited all this pagan interest bathory had started years before, and all the so-called poser NS bands of today singing about being aryan and heathen took it as a cue from varg, even darken did too... you know it..), varg gave us this ode to pagan (viking) theology, all written on computer using midi (ie: no metal here). Anyway, its nothing mindblowing, but there's definetly some good atmosphere on here, (and if you dont mind the swastika's all over it...). Better ambient stuff by varg can be found on Hlidskjalf, as well as the 3rd track of Hvit... and the 5th track on filosofem tho... check this one out anyway however.. its short but well worth it.. at least before it goes out of print.

A real dark ambient masterpiece! As Varg said, if instead of keyboard he had used guitars-bass-drums it would be a great black metal masterpiece too!

Ce disque est vraiment une déception, surtout après tous ces prédecesseurs qui étaient vraiment tous de bonne facture et même de très très bonnes factures pour certain!. Et ce n'est pas le suivant (6) même si meilleur qui fera redoré le Blason BURZUM!! Et aprés sa sortie de prison il fera un peu de bon mais aussi de moins bon (mais là,les goûts et les couleurs......!!) Ce disque n'est que pour les FANS et les vrais FANS!

Album che a me piace molto, anche se il black metal degli esordi lascia il posto ad una musica ambient ridondante e psichedelica. Come grande fan della band ho imparato ad apprezzare anche questo lato della loro produzione, innovativo e che ha ispirato tante altre band, come hate forest, satanic warmaster ecc...nella ricerca di orizzonti musicali anche diametralmente opposti al canone black metal, ma altrettanto fuorvianti e scioccanti.

Servizio Amazon ok (tempistiche di consegna, imballo e corrispondenza del prodotto a quanto visibile sul sito). La stellina in meno è solo per il prodotto in sé, meno affine al black metal e più vicino a sonorità dark ambient, anche se la scelta era stata dettata giocoforza dalle circostanze... Consigliato ai fans di Burzum.
