Works with my Valor President 530 direct vent gas fireplace heater, and costs far less than the OEM remote. Easy to install, flawless as remote control. Also works well as thermostatic controller, my one gripe being it will time out and start beeping softly. Any button press on remote clears beeping, and I get that this is a safety feature to prevent leaving this mode on unintentionally. But would be much happier if I could optionally disable this feature. All in all, wish I bought this years ago.

We ordered this to replace an older Skytech remote that stopped working. Replacing the base unit was very easy, and the new remote works great. Like the ability to set the thermostat ( which our older remote did not have).

Bought this with a new Heatmaster log set for a second firebox. I like the remote features, but I have to deduct one star: in thermostat mode, the system turns the logs on high when below the set point, and upon reaching the set point, the logs go off completely. I wish it was a bit smarter, in that it would meter the logs down as the temperatures approach the set point, and ramp up when below. This would make for a far more enjoyable experience rather than the sudden all-or-nothing aspect.Works very well with my Heatmaster Charred Oak set -- super simple to install and set up and thus far very reliable. Only downside is the jarring on/off behavior. (Our other log set in the house is a Procom cpd18t with the built-in thermostat where I can set it and leave it -- those logs meter up and down as the set point is approached making for very nice transitions based on heat needs.)

Needed for a replacement in a stove I had. Works great. Delivered quicker than what was posted. Will keep you in mind if ever need another

I received this item thinking everything is fine with it. I had a fireplace installer come to my house to get it installed because I couldn't figure it out and he told me my item is broken. Now the "return date" has lapsed and I am stuck with non-functional item. Fireplace installer installed his own thermostat and it worked, so I know I was sent a broken item from Amazon :(

Got as a replacement for an old remote that stopped working. This one works much better. Has the ability to automatically turn the logs on and off based on the temperature at the remote. This remote is for logs that have a servo at the logs. It is power producing, not millivolt control.

Remote receiver was really easy to set up, had it running in 5 minutes. Seller provided accurate information regarding the compatibility with my fireplace controller.
