Not quite as easy to use as expected
This is a great idea and helps but does not really allow butter to spread right out of the refrigerator. It needs to soften some first.

Harder to use than anticipated
This may be user error but both my husband and I struggled to get this to work as shown in the pictures. Can’t comment on durability as only had for a few weeks

Nothing is better than this butter knife for cold butter
Nothing is better foer dealing with cold butter. The slices you remove are also very decorative.

Well Made and Works Great w Warm KnIfe or Slightly Softened Butter
Knife is well made. But to use it on a cold stick of butter, you have to hold the butter stick down in order to dig into the stick to collect the butter serving. Will work great if knife is first warmed in hot water (this happens quickly but it’s an extra step for sure) OR if butter is softer than purely cold from the fridge.

Very sturdy. They have to be.
I like the heft of the knives, but I apparently am not strong enough to get them to work as demonstrated. Butter just out of the refrigerator only produced a little knot of butter and I had to hold the butter with the other hand. Not at all what I was hoping for or what I felt was advertised,

Works Like A Charm
My husband eats bread with every meal and loves butter rock hard and ice cold. I may want to put the same butter on veggies or potatoes, and cannot spread it to save my life! This handy utensil allows me to carve off delightful shreds of butter that thaw almost immediately, allowing for easy spreading. This way, we will stay married. Try it!
