It receives the remote control signal from about 40 yards away. Perfect for my gate opener. Easy to install.

These are really weak receivers. I have this receiver on my powered gates and I have to usually be within 100 feet or less of the gate before it will receive any of my transmitters. I even purchased the extended range antenna for the unit which didn't seem to make any difference. You would be better off to spend a little more for a receiver if you want any kind of real range.

I bought two of these, the first one failed within a month and the second about 4 months. Just as the other reviews have stated the range is very poor from day one. As the unit starts to fail the range will become shorter and shorter then nothing.Took a lot of work to change out the 10 year old units to these and replace the remotes, in the end I put back the antique units which continue to work well (so old you cannot find remotes for them)Buy this product and you WILL BE SORRY you did.

saved hundreds of dollars by using this easy to install receiver on a US Patriot gate control board.

Installed last week , so far so good .

Antenna wire not even attached to the circuit board. Poor range for reception...less than 10 feet. Not worth the bother.
