good mixed surface traction
I have 100 miles on this tire mounted on my recumbent trike rear wheel. It replaces a Bontrager H5 tire which has a smooth center and lugged sides. The theory being smooth for pavement and lugs for soft. I found that was not adequate for some of the trails I wanted to ride.I have ridden on pavement, turf, loose gravel, mud, packed granite. Up steep grades the Land Cruiser hooked up and gave good traction. On pavement it rides on the center strip and rolls very nicely.On a tadpole trike the rear wheel needs to deliver straight ahead traction and low rolling resistance. This tire does that for me.

Better off pavement traction. Adequate traction snow on a hard surface.

Really good tires, im using them on...
I'm using them on my electric bike, both my wife and I break mostly with our front break and they have a great grip, never skid to the front or sides, we wore 3 of these as we commute 20 miles a day each, loving these, they go up and down in price so shop around!Hope this was helpful.
