Small light and possibly a life saver
This item is much better quality than a mylar "emergency blanket". I bought 2 and opened up one. It's good quality and quite tough. I would have no worries using it in an emergency. I folded it back up and fit it into a sandwich ziplock and it fits in my cargo pant pocket along with a Swedish steel striker, some Vaseline cotton balls, whistle and compass. If I ever get benighted and separated from my pack I'm confident I would get through the night and increase my chance of rescue with just this simple kit, and the knowledge gained from years of playing in the wild.
