“When you have completed a workout, your muscle cells are depleted of glycogen and it must be replenished as quickly as possible to promote recovery, and cell repair. Good product in a simple package less garbage to throw!!!

The bag is nice, best option on Amazon, but still more expensive than my local brew shop. Dextrose aka glucose is LESS sweet than sugar (sucrose). It is a little less than half as soluble in water as sugar, but this dextrose is almost powder and dissolves easily. This also caramelizes at a lower temperature than sugar. Plenty of other differences, just some things to keep in mind when substituting. Don't assume it's a healthy alternative, either. Do some research, and have fun taking your food to the next level.

As advertised and quick delivery

Very similar or identical in taste to sucrose. The granules are a little finer than table sugar. I think that the degree of sweetness is the same as sucrose. I bought this for my husband, who is a Type 1 diabetic, for hypoglycemic episodes. He has used Glutose in the past, which works well, but it is outrageously expensive, so I thought we'd try this. I also think it should work better than sucrose since it doesn't have to be broken down before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream.

When my child was diagnosed with a rare medical condition a few months ago (similar to CSID) we had to cut ALL sugar and starch. Dextrose, although not completely tolerated by her, is the ONLY sugar / substitute I have found that she can have. She's 6 so sweets are a "necessity", at least if you ask her lol. This product comes in a very nice RESEALABLE bag! Great in yogurt, perfect for homemade ice cream. It has the consistency and texture of powdered sugar without being super sweet (and an odd minor aftertaste if you try it straight .. had to taste test it lol)

If for whatever reason you need pure dextrose instead of normal table sugar (sucrose), this works well. It is very expensive, though.
