Great for what they do.
I knew these strings in the '80 as "Recording Strings." They have one purpose: to minimize fret noise when changing positions on the fingerboard.I personally like the entire set, but I know of guitarists who would only use the basses ( they're the ones that tend to squeak) and throw away the trebles. I've also known folks who would only use these strings for recording ( i.e. they'd string the guitar with these, record for a day or two, and restring the guitar with their normal, daily strings). There are professionals, semi-professionals, and amateurs who will champion their personal favorite in the realm of strings. You have to decide what you want to use. If the material feels good to the fingers, if the sound resonates with you, and if your wallet isn't making more noise than your frets, then use whatever you like. These strings, as I said, do what they're intended to do and do it very well. However, don't assume that all fret noise will mystically disappear. These minimize that noise, but there's no way to eliminate it with strings alone - pick up your fingers :))Another caveat: if you like fret noise - if it's part of your playing technique and persona - then stay away from these! They'll clean the sound up too much for you. Yeah. I know these are "Classical" guitar strings, but I've known folk guitarists who use classical strings.and if I wanted a folksy sound full of fret noise or if I wanted a scratchy, earthy, Blues sound, I wouldn't use these.I do use these for recording, but for daily use, I find the trebles to be clear and the basses full and sustaining, so why change them out for something more mainstream?Summary: they reduce fret noise and they sound nice for daily playing. They're comfortable to the fingers. If you're looking to record or if you'd just like to try something new, give these a shot.

Great strings!
Been buying these strings since I was 14, about 2009, an old church friend told me about them becuase I asked him that I liked the Grey smooth finish on his strings, I was just beginning to learn, and asked how they were less rough than my super bright silver strings I had, and he gave me a set, ever since then these are the only strings I have bought besides this one time but I regretted it and switched back

Perfect for some guitars
For every guitar and player there is a perfect set of strings, but it can take a while to find them. I have been trying to find the perfect strings (to my ears) for my 1977 Ramirez 1A guitar since I bought it three months ago. I do not highly humidify my guitars. I like the crispness of a drier guitar, with the full range of overtones it can produce. Putting highly resonant strings on a highly resonant guitar can be too much. The overtones from one string get lost in those of another, and, particularly when strumming, the basses can sound a bit metallic. I first tried the La Bella 2001 strings, which were acceptable, but not sweet enough. Then I tried the Savarez Cantiga strings (which are wonderful on my $900 Cordoba Fusion Orchestra guitar) and they were way too much. I even tried the Ramirez brand strings that are made for Ramirez guitars and the basses still sounded a bit too sharp. Finally, I tried these La Bella 413 strings and immediately loved them. They are crystal clear without being too sharp, they are well-balanced and produce an absolutely sweet sound on my Ramirez. I did have an issue with the G string, which seemed too loud and had a bit of a thud to it. I replaced it with a G string from the La Bella 2001 set and it worked perfectly. I have not tried these strings on a spruce top guitar, and they would likely not have the resonance necessary for a lesser guitar (i.e. my Cordoba Fusion), but for my Ramirez they have by far the sweetest sound I have found. They let an exquisite guitar sound exquisite.

A Rodriguez cedar top classical strung up with these has a very sweet, sonorous and vintage tone
Very high quality strings. The bass strings are very fundamental in nature, due to the polishing process removing all of the edginess from the tone as well. A Rodriguez cedar top classical strung up with these has a very sweet, sonorous and vintage tone. As advertised there are no string squeaks on any of the strings. I have knocked off ONE star as I do believe the trebles are not PERFECTLY matched, although they are very good. The high-E is just a bit brighter than the entire rest of the set. Coupled with some Augustine Imperial trebles these basses would make a 5 star set.

best classical strings I have ever played (30+ years)
Tension is between medium and high (my subjective input.) Trebles are bright while also warm - no "pingy" or "tinny" sounds on the high trebles. No tubbiness with the G string. The balance is perfect between all strings. My relatively inexpensive cedar top sounds like a concert-level guitar with these strings on it. Definitely worth the try (and they are not expensive) if you can handle the tension. Far superior to the Labella 2001, IMO.

Wonderful strings for recording
I first heard about these strings from Sharon Isbin's classical guitar answer book. She said that she uses them to record with because they don't squeak as much as other strings, and I found that to be absolutely true as I recorded my album "Christmastime Again." They are not as bright as other classical strings, like D'Addarios, but I'll take the trade off.

Polished strings squeak and stick to thumb
I bought these hoping that the polished strings would feel more like the bare nylon strings, but they actually function worse than the regular wound strings. They sort of stick to my thumb flesh in a way that wound strings don't. It's just enough to cause little hiccups in my patterns. Very annoying. Waste of money.

Beautiful G string!
These LaBella high tension nylons strings ring clear and articulate. You can really tell the difference in the G string, Other strings sound dull and spongy

Also geht alles über Tonabnehmer/Mikro!

Very high quality and performance strings!!
These are excellent strings. I have used them since they became available. They are long lasting, do not tend to lose their brilliance for a long time/a lot use and sound great. They are also very quite where they are flat wound. Most flat wound strings tend to be somewhat muted in brilliance. Not these. They are high performance/quality strings and are sure to please. I have bought these from Jax a few times. No problems and arrived as promised. A good supplier I would recommend.
