Easy to recommend
I mainly use this with my Marshall DSL ultra gain channel. It adds a ton of sustain and saturation to the tone but still sounds like a marshall. I leave the pedal with volume, drive, and tone at 12 oclock (sounds great out-of-the-box so there is a lot of room to fine-tune), put the Voice switch down, and the Hi-Cut in the down position, then the amp gain around 1 oclock. I feel like no matter what I'm doing, the tone sounds better with this pedal on than with it off (although may require tinkering with the knobs, hi-cut, and voice). Stacking with other overdrives also sounds great. I pretty much only turn it off for playing jazz.

What?
This thing was awful. I just don't get who likes this kind of gain decay, it sounds REALLY BAD. Crackly and static sounding, nothing like a real amp. No smooth grain in the decay, no gentle roll-off, no 'push' and compression. I sometimes wonder if people after transparent pedals ever play live. Most famous pedals are renowned for not being transparent, and were frequently used live.It has nice high end openness and low end presence but the mids sound small and overly focused, it gets boxy by comparison to others quickly. It also has a weird gain range that never sounds 'pretty' (compressing the right areas, adding some bite without being harsh, providing a nice, even decay, etc.). For the most part, when I get a pedal like this I'm just looking for a tube screamer with a more open tone stack, evidently that is an impossible pedal to make.I have no clue what this thing is for. If you are driving a broken up amp, the decay will likely come from the amp, and the shortcomings of the pedal won't matter. I don't think its worth the money AT ALL. You'd be better off looking at a TC Spark, a Timmy clone, or even the Donner Dumbal.

Subtle Boost
I use it as a subtle boost for a Friedman Twin Sister amp. The pedal's conductive faceplate can create noise if you touch it with your ungrounded skin. I also use a Buxom Boost too.

Great pedal on a smallbox 50.
Great transparency and smooth tone. The add I read said make your amp sound better. I watched several videos of it decided to pull the trigger. Very pleased.

Fantastic OD
This pedal shines in front of a slightly dirty amp or a dirty amp, or in front of another dirt pedal. Just adds that thickness and harmonic complexity that makes playing a joy!

Something to make your amp sound like a better version of your amp.
Great pedal! The best pedal to just give more of what you want out of your amp without altering the tone. I use it with a small box and this pedal is just a god send.
