I was skeptical of these because they were such a good price for four of them, but unlike some other Turkish towels I’ve ordered, these did indeed get softer with washing. Not ultra soft, but better. Out of the package they were pretty rough; stiff and scratchy, but I just wanted them for kitchen use so I didn’t mind very much. I ran them through the wash before using and they softened up a fair amount and I wouldn’t be surprised if they soften up more with further washing. The “midnight blue” color is a basic navy that works well for kitchen use since it’s dark, but still looks decorative and classic.

I use these as hand towels in the bathrooms. After discovering the amazing efficiency of Turkish beach towels (rolls up very small, dries super fast--no big wet soggy towels hanging around after the beach!), I decided to try them as hand towels.They are chic, look great, dry well--perfect for a beach house. They shrunk slightly after first washing but I think they got even better.

These are thin, medium soft, and not very absorbable. HOWEVER I liked the price point, they are softening as I wash them, and because they do not hold moisture like terry cloth does, they dry faster, and I like them for that aspect. I only use towels once anyways before laundering due to my severe allergies. So I wanted towels that wouldn’t hold/need a lot of water in the wash. So honestly the fact they are thin and lightweight is a plus for me!ALSO they look great in the bathroom, and are way more attractive than standard terry cloth towels.

Great towels for bathroom like that you can wash many in one load attractive and practical

I live in a motorhome and wanted something lightweight that would dry quickly to use as hand towels. I’m using one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. After a month of use they have held up well. They are absorbent enough to dry hands after washing and seem to dry quicker than a terry cloth towel. They are bigger than a normal hand towel but I just fold the kitchen one in half, and for the bathroom I hung the towel hook higher. I love the look and would recommend.

Not a fan of these towels. They are big and oversized and pretty and soft. Big compared to dish towels. However the do not absorb liquid, like at all, they move it around on surface, but doesn't soak up spills or dry dishes just moves the water around on the dish.

I don’t use paper towels (try it—you’ll never go back), so I have lots of kitchen towels I can just accumulate in a wire basket under the kitchen sink and throw in the washer every few days. I use these Clotho towels for hand drying, and because they are so long I am able to scarf-wrap them around my dishwasher handle so my kids can’t constantly pull them off. I have 6 of them so I’ll always have a clean one. They get softer in the wash—they are rough when you receive them. I wish the manufacturer would skip the plastic-wrap packaging (totally unnecessary and wasteful).

They were stiff when I received them but a quick wash softened them up. They are fantastic and absorbent. I kept two and gifted two. Highly recommended!

Really nice and soft cloth. A lot bigger than I imagined which I great as can be used for varies purposes. I ordered a pack of 4 so will have them in the kitchen and will order some more for the bathroom.The material is quite thin but still does the job great and looks lovely too!

i bought 8 of these to use as cloakroom hand towels. I did expect them to be more substantial having bought many Hammam towels in Turkey over the years. These are no better than very thin tea towels, so I won't be using them.
