AKORD Mini Extra Long Nose Plier with Spring, Silver/Black

Purchased this to help with twisting kanthal and SS wires for vape coils. Also used it on the car to remove some stubborn electrical connectors and fuses effectively. Does the job very well and feels quite durable, not like those cheap pound-shop tools that are basically one time use and it's ruined.The "nose" part of the pliers are flat and smooth, so when you grip the item you're working on, it doesn't mark or blemish the surface like the industrial pliers with the teeth ridges would. They're quite a compact set of pliers so I wouldn't be wanting to do anything heavy duty with them but it does what it's advertised to do very well (Jewellery Making, Bead Craft, Electrics, etc).

Bought these to use as de-barbing pliers for fly fishing hooksHave just used them and they perform just as good as any bespoke set costing three times (and above) the amount.Have knocked one star off for the slight amount of tarnishing and surface rust that was on them when they arrived.They have cleaned up ok but should have arrived perfect in my opinion.

Exactly as described and illustrated. The nose is lightly textured for an improved grip on whatever is being manipulated and the handles are rubberised for a secure handhold.Long-term quality and usefulness may be another issue as there have been several instances of poor quality and performance from Chinese-made tools sold under British brand labels, although they may be made down to a specific price, and which were replaced by Japanese alternatives at around ten times the price. These feel much stronger than those examples and the nose will bend under finger pressure - they have on others..

Item was delivered within 2 weeks, The pliers are however cheap but what did I expect for £1-96. Should have saved my money but buying a better pair. The pliers aren't pointed , one side of the round nose pliers was big than the other and when closed they didn't touch ( good 3 or 4 mm gap) . Would be ok on thick wire but not on the thin stuff.Disappointed but considering the price ok.

Works well for the price, not flimsy or stiff like some cheap tools can be. Good for beginners & hobbyists, or as a spare pair. I bought several for teaching - be aware that free delivery is only valid if you have one in the basket so I made multiple transactions.

Ordered this pair because I thought it was good value for money and I really needed a new pair. However when they arrived (it took AGES for them to arrive) it was not the same pair that the name and the picture showed. Instead they had sent some dirty and rusty cutting pliers which have the same handles. It was a WASTE OF MONEY. DON'T BUY!!!

Use these all the time. Have used with others during workshops and find them to be strong and easy to manipulate. The rubber on the handles makes it easier to hold and is just enough to allow grip without getting in the way. The size of the pointed nose is perfect for wire wrapping.
