Only the Front of these brackets are smooth and polished. The Backside is very rough, unfinished, with sharp edges. I have used corner braces and mending plates for many years and have never seen any that were unfinished on one side.Originally, I liked that they were rounded on the ends. I planned to use them in a decorative way, but as rough as they are, I don't want the wood on my piece scratched up from the underside of the bracket. I was going to use the corner bracket, over the corner, but cannot as it is unfinished on that side. I received a small cut from them handling them to take a picture.The Idea of these are nice, but they are poorly made and dangerous to handle.

This is a real sturdy and well made corner brace. It has withstood testing on the rail of the double bunk for two rough-housing furniture and equipment damage prone boys. It does seem to flake or lose its coating over time.

My cabinet door was cracked. I used this to rejoin the 2 pieces and now it’s sturdy again.

We used these braces to attach an IKEA-hack desk to the wall, and they worked great. They are strong, and two rowdy elementary school-aged boys have not yet pulled the desks away from the wall.

They are think and sturdy. The screw holes are just right for the screws. Their sizes are just right. Super fast shipping.

Did the job

Very sturdy pieces of metal. Used it as a brace for a wooden table leg that was separating and have now made it very secure.
