This didn't really help.
I bought this so I could wear a bra with straps with a bridesmaid dress that had a lower back. This only lowered the band by like half an inch, and it seemed to pull the straps more toward the center of my back, which made them visible outside of the dress. They were pretty inexpensive, so I kept them in case I ever have a dress that they might work with, but they didn't meet my original need. I ended up going with a strapless bra.
