extremely easy to use, UPDATE ON TURKEY BREAST
UPDATED!!!!! Works great, easy to use, just add cooking oil to max line and heat up oil, drop in "food" and time it, when it's done, enjoy. clean up is easy, drain the oil after an hour or more when it cools down and store in a cool place and use the peanut oil over and over, I "filtered" my oil so nothing but oil went back in the oil bottle, no lumpy crap, temp will HOLD perfect if you DO NOT put cold food right out of the fridge or frozen food directly in, I put frozen French Fries in the cooker, but.......I let them hand on the side on the hooks while the cooker was at max heat and closed the lid and let them thaw out for a few minutes and then dropped the Fries, and they were good and crispy and the Heat did not go down, for those that said the heat would not stay up, were putting very cold or frozen foods in the HOT oil, it's science, put cold crap in oil and it WILL go down in Temp. Food tasted great and was juicy and crispy skin on the outside, I bought the XL without the timer because I just tell my phone "hey Siri, turn on the timer for 55 minutes", and no solid state electronics to go out, ALL manual knobs, so that's a plus for me............excellent fryer the XL 20lb turkey fryer is.I cooked a 13 LB Turkey, came out Perfect, moist, and crispy skin, NOT burnt up and perfect golden skin,,,,,perfect for a big Turkey!!!! but............I dropped in a 4.7 LB bone in turkey Breast and cooked planned on cooking it at 7 minutes a pound like the "owner/inventor" stated on youtube video, and the Breast skin was burnt black, ruined, burnt up beyond repair, and I lowered the temp from 375 down to 350 degrees, and instead of cooking 32 minutes as recommended, I took it out after only like 15 minutes because it was burning up to a black, burnt mess, and this breast was room temp, totally dry, and seasoned lightly, when I dropped the bird in, green 375 degree light just came on when I dropped it,,,,,,,,,,,, so not sure why it burned up??????????14 lb Turkey came out perfect, I did a 4 lb Turkey Breast @ 7 minutes a lb like stated @ 12:16 and it burnt up all to hell, ruined it, it was black burnt only after putting it in after 5 minutes, so I lowered the temp. down to 350° and it was burnt up all to hell, skin was black burnt, ruined but..........again.......the Turkey came out Perfect, I think the times and temp. for the whole Turkey "breast only" is wrong?????????? I am using the 2019 XL New Version model: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HR6D9ZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great Fryer!!!
Masterbuilt put together a great fryer! It took about 40 min to reach 375F with oil. It takes about 2 hours maybe a little longer to cool down.I cooked a 17 pound turkey and it was plenty of room to do so, and the bird cooked in about 65 minutes. Perfectly!this thing was awesome. If you get it and try to test it with water before filling it with oil please remember that the water won't get past 210F because that is the boiling point. It will heat to 375F using oil just fine. For some reason I forgot this originally and it took me looking up other reviews and such to put my head back on straight. This will see plenty of use for French fry parties and Monty Cristo sandwiches in bulk! It's really a great value for the money. So far for cleaning and breakdown, and general use I can't say enough good about this product. It is solid, well built, well engineered. I gave myself a one day crash course but am glad I did.And this is far more pleasant to use than outdoor propane fryers. I know people that swear by them but except for the fact that this thing is so large I can see using it for all sorts of stuff. Want to do a MOUND of French fries in one go. This thing will do it for you. It's a little overkill for only a family of 4 but I think I will cope. :)

TURKEY FRYER FOR DUMMIES. MUST BUY!
We bought this to use for thanksgiving. My husband has fried our turkey the previous two years, but he was using the “tin can” fryer, as he calls it, with the propane tank and open flame. We have two dogs and two toddlers, so when he suggested this, I was all on board! Fire/flames make me uneasy, so I really like the aspect of the heat being contained within the unit.We really liked how simple the unit is to use. Simply turn the dial, and the light turns green when the oil is ready! No more checking a thermometer to make sure oil is heated properly. With the lid, you also have much more consistent heating throughout your cook time.Last year my husband’s turkey ended up “blackened” so he was determined for the turkey to come out better this year. We actually did a test turkey two days prior to T-Day, and it came out PERFECT! Same results on the big day. It works great, consistently!Other features we appreciate:- Hanging fry basket- Magnetic electric plug- Oil fill lineAll in all I am so happy with this fryer. It was easy to use and we got great results. And best of all, I don’t have to worry about my dogs or kids running around an open flame.

Wow! This Fryer lives up to the hype!
The media could not be loaded. Non-Disclaimer: We purchased this fryer at full price for the purpose of reviewing it for our website and YouTube channel. We were NOT asked by the company to review the fryer nor were we compensated by Butterball. We run a website that reviews As Seen on TV items and this looked like it should be an As Seen on TV Deep Fryer. This turkey fryer is awesome! We loved the Butterball XL Electric Fryer. It's quality built, easy to use, easy to clean and works exactly as it's supposed to. One thing we didn't like about the fryer is that the plug-in cord was a little shot; however, that's standard for almost all deep fryers and you're never supposed to use an extension cord (for safety reasons of course). We used it outside but I think it would have been fine inside. We created a 24-minute video review of this fryer. I highly recommend it!

10/10 super satisfied and pleased
Fantastic, we use it all the time when family comes over to visit, chop up some potatoes and have a deep fat fry! Super big and cooks lots of chicken and fries so we can all eat together instead of waiting for little batches. 10/10 would buy again. Great product.
