I initially submitted a poor report for this drive but want to correct it. The problem was that backing up a hard drive from a macbook pro takes place in the background with no information on progress until completion. Coping other files was very straightforward. Fast and with good communication.Old review --- despite good reviews I found this hard drive very difficult set to up and use. I contacted the supplier for advice, which they encourage you to do, but have yet to hear from them. I think I managed to do a backup but it's impossible to know if it worked. Subsequent backups seem to fail. I would return the item but can't delete whatever is on the drive. Catch 22. Very unsatisfied.

The product does exactly what it needs to do. I needed to transfer from files from a central drive to my own personal one and this was the perfect solution.It worked straight out of the box and had no issues connecting or adding files. The materials it is made of feel solid and secure which makes me confident that it will not easily break. It really is a great little harddrive that is easy to use and feels well built.Would 100% recommend.

With two laptops eating up my precious files while taking a dirt nap in the past, even a thickie like me got the message about backing up the data. I can use a computer but not one of the smart arses who can make the machine do whatever I want, I took the plunge for a plug-in drive. A SIMPLE plug in drive that didn't need all sorts of awkward prepping and formatting that makes you pray for a swift death. This was the kit. Small, neat, ready in seconds and duplicating everything from my laptop while I watched the latest click-bait youtube crap on my feed about Dungeons and Dragons - I remember when it was just AD&D that cost just a few quid and you could buy a metal figure for 60p. Anyway, the drive did the business. I was so impressed I bought another for my sticky-fingered 15 year old son, who's so careless he could break a log into splinters when your back's turned. It survived even him! Can't recommend the hard drive enough for anyone interested, as much as I try impressing my son to wash more often.

Works perfectly on my smart TV for all the channels. You can pause rewind live TVEdit* 3 months later and it no longer works! Not happy 😮‍💨

Unfortunatly after tripping the power switch on the ps5 while it was plugged in this device malfunctioned and now cannot be recognised again by my ps5. I chose this hard drive as it was a good cheap price and had some good reviews. Spent a few hours copying the games to it then it failed and malfunctioned. Had to re download all my games as well .

Looks good, works well and a reasonable price Great for backing up or transferring files.
