Below is the review I posted in August of 2020. I have owned this pillow for almost 2 years! I updated my experience at the bottom.August 2020 review:Let me start off by saying that I consider myself a pillow snob. I have gone through hundreds of pillows in my lifetime including the infamous My Pillow. After using the EnerPlex pillow for 2 weeks I have to say that this is the BEST PILLOW I have ever owned!I recently bought a top of the line My Pillow which cost me over $80 with shipping and taxes. After 1 week I sent it back. It was a complete waste of $$ and the worst pillow I ever owned!!Anyway back to this review. After sleeping on this pillow for 1 night I knew I made the right choice! It is soft but firm. You don't sink into it which I hate. I am mainly a side sleeper but I do sometimes tend to sleep on my back. This pillow keeps your head and neck aligned in the right position. Other pillows would leave my head and neck so achy in the morning.I have read several negative reviews stating that this pillow has a strong chemical smell. I have a very sensitive respiratory system. If this pillow had a harsh smell it would have sent it back immediately! I did let the pillow air out for a few hours before use, I do this with most things I buy new.The best feature of this pillow is the removable cover and the extra foam! You can adjust the pillow to your comfort level. I don't know any other company that does this?As a self proclaimed pillow snob I would recommend this pillow to anyone looking for a reasonable, comfortable, and restful nights sleep. You won't be disappointed!**UPDATED 2022 REVIEW**After sleeping on this pillow for almost 2 years I have to say that this is still THE BEST PILLOW I HAVE EVER OWNED! It hasn't lost any of its firmness (which most pillows do after time). I only wash the outer cover. I do not wash the memory foam! I spray the foam with lysol and leave it out to dry.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON MY PILLOW OR ANY OTHER OVER PRICED LUXURY PILLOW. I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL!! THIS IS THE BEST PILLOW ON THE MARKET!!

From the moment I laid my head upon them, I was spellbound.Unable to resist, I promptly ordered a set for my home. Two years later, I'm delighted to report that these pillows remain as impeccable as the day they arrived. They've retained their shape and support, defying the wear and tear that plagues lesser pillows.For side sleepers like myself, the firmness of these pillows is a godsend. They provide just the right amount of support to alleviate any strain, ensuring a restorative slumber every night. But what truly sets these pillows apart is their adjustability. Yes, you heard it right – adjustable pillows!I cannot recommend them highly enough to fellow aficionados of quality sleep. Great pillows, and they come with a TON of extra fill for adjustment. A quick cycle through the dryer really fluffed it up, and didn't really notice that much of a "smell" from it. Great sleep from all positions, as I tend to shift through the night from back to side. Compared to my last pillows, these have no complaints from me. I have a dog too, and she slept right through the night on one without moving around like she normally did with "her" old pillow.Will eventually order another set for the guest bedroom once that is ready to be lived in!

TLDR: Excellent pillow but split the foam fill into maybe 4 zip pillow cases to wash and dry on high.I'm very picky about pillows and this one is very good. The ability to customize the amount of fill allows me to sleep on my back with my neck in alignment. I added extra fill when sleeping on my side while pregnant. I am very sensitive to chemical smells- this pillow has very little smell upon opening. I am switching over to this pillow for the whole family.We have 1 body pillow (great for pregnancy), 2 queens, and 2 kings. I stuff the kings fairly full and put sham covers on so that they are functional AND decorative. They make great support pillows for leaning against or putting under your knees.Ok, washing:I wash these pillows when I get them. Even though they have decent green certifications they are not completely chemical free and I'm pretty sensitive to things like that.Problem: If you wash and dry the stuffed pillow as is it WILL NOT dry. Low heat doesn't touch it. I've had a pillow on high heat for probably 5-10 cycles and it was still soaking wet in the center.Solution: Split the foam filling into maybe 3 additional zip pillowcases to wash and dry. The washing machine will be better balanced. The center will be more thoroughly cleaned. The foam will dry. You can safety pin the zippers closed if they are slippy. I've also used mesh laundry bags to contain the foam fill but make sure that it is a fine-screened nylon mesh or the fluffy bits will escape :/

I bought these pillows solely as back support in pillow shams. They each come rolled up around an extra sealed bag of additional stuffing and vacuum sealed. When opened they start out flat and lumpy, but within a few minutes they grow into such thick pillows that I can’t imagine how anyone could sleep on them. When I placed the order I assumed that I would add some of the extra stuffing to really fill out my pillow sham for support. But once the memory foam had fully expanded (a few hours) I found that no extra filling was needed. In fact, I may end up taking a bit out of the pillow. I’m very happy with this purchase. Good value for the money, and the pillows are soft but supportive.

These pillow have exceeded expectations so far. I’m always hesitant to buy pillows online bc i’m pretty particular about pillows, mattress, and bedding in general. And I’ve gone through a lot of pillows because I replace mine every year at least. I am going to order a few more of these to keep in the queue. The filler is a combo of foam shreds and chunks and what looks like a synthetic fiber which fills the spaces between the foam bits. the varying size of the filler pieces coupled with the inner case and outer removable, washable shell makes for a very even, smooth distribution of support. (my neck approves). They breath so don’t get hot and maintain a comfy sleeping temp.The foam had a very mild odor compared to other foam pillows and mattresses/mattress pads i’ve owned. And it dissipated quickly (within a hour or two of taking it out of the packaging - it was very very mild to begin with.) The fabric is quality as are the zippers.These pillows are “gently supportive” in that they are soft and cushiony but the filler provides support that’s firm right where needed. the package includes extra foam filler if you like a thicker pillow. i have slept with 1 without it and 1 with it added and both are great. If you’re a back sleeper you likely won’t need the extra filler. It’s excellent support for side sleepers and a great cuddle pillow. The pillow also provides good support if you like sleeping on your back with a pillow under your knees.I’m a big dude 6’2 and typically side sleeper engulfed in pillows of varying types. I’m three days sleep in and these are the most comfortable pillows i’ve slept on. I’ve travelled a lot and stayed at a range hotels as well ranging from Marriott Courtyards to St. Regis & Four Seasons so my pillow sample is big. These pillows are the G.O.A.T.The filling has its own “pillow case” and there’s a removable and washable outer shell. Both of which feel durable. I like the removable outer shell for washing.(adult fyi) Additionally, the pillow with the additional filler that can be added provides sufficiently firm lower back/hip support should you sometimes find yourself in need of hips raised while on your back (iykyk).10/10 happy with this pillow so far they seem durable so i suspect they will last. if any disappointments arise. i’ll follow up.recommendations:1. let the pillows inflate/decompress and air out for a couple hours or so.(do this with any compressed foam products).2. Make sure the outer shell zipper is on the opposite side of the inner case zipper (the zippers are solid but this is just preventative - I have a cat that’s an agent of chaos).3. The shipped box is cat approved.

Although the pillows came flattened, with some hand fluffing they puffed up enormously! They have a slight smell but I am very sensitive to scents and had no problem using them the same night as they arrived. I am a back sleeper, so I followed the instructions and took out some stuffing, then to make it perfect for me I had to add a tiny bit back. That is one of the things that love about the pillow. You can adjust it to your body. It even comes with a bag of more stuffing. Also the firmness was ideal for me. It is right in the middle. Not too hard, or firm, and not too soft. Seriously the best pillows I have ever had, and my neck pain is gone. No more waking up in terrible pain!

I'm actually really impressed by this pillow. I've had a hard time finding the right pillow for a while, so I'm so happy that I finally found something that suits me. I like a pillow that's not too soft and not too hard,which is why i liked the idea of having an adjustable pillow. I've purchased an adjustable pillow previously from Miracle Bamboo, and I really did not like how your head sinks in when you're sleeping, which left absolutely no support for my neck. So i woke up several times with neck tension, migraines and neck pain. Which is why i totally appreciate the EnerPlex pillow! I'm so amazed that this pillow actually keeps it shape while you're sleeping!!! it keeps its form so that there's support for my neck and head given that I'm a side sleeper. I also like that the foam isn't the cheap type of foam where it gets everywhere, it actually sticks together so you don't make a mess when you're pulling them out of the pillow. this pillow is also really easy to mold and shape to your liking with the adjustable foam. i'm also impressed by how incredibly soft the pillow case is! it's sooo nice, i really like this pillow. My husband also really likes it! We were trying to find another king set to get for his parents, but it looks like the price increased!!! i think the price shouldve been kept lower.

This pillow will not disappoint! I have bought so many pillows lately only to return them all! This one is perfect and just as good as more expensive brands! The quality of the memory foam is excellent and it is adjustable so you can get it to the perfect loft you want. Alleviated neck and shoulder pain and is supportive yet soft enough. I love this pillow and would recommend!

Pros:- pillow doesn't easily 'collapse' like other memory foam pillows- easy to add or remove filling for pillowCons:- distinct (typical) odour for pillow. Extremely confident this would go away over a couple of days so don't let this dissuade you from a purchase- sleeps hot. Noticeably hot. This is the main reason I've decided to return the pillow
