Sure beats the heck out of a file!
Used this to make a 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 line boring bar. I wouldnt call any of them precision but some of the holes came out a little off from the bar wanting to turn as the broach was pushed through. I used a hydraulic press and plenty of cutting oil to broach about 12 holes and imagine it will last for many more.

All good, item just as described.
Not much to say. Works well. Just as described. I am happy with the purchase. I am using it to cut the square hole for a 3/8 drive ratchet in tools that I am making.

Didn't Work for Me
Full disclaimer: I have no idea how to use a broach the professional way. That being said, it didn't work on 1/4" high carbon steel used on a plow. I tried it with a 12 ton shop press and the broach just wanted to bend. I stopped before it broke.

Warning
For background, I'm a professional machinist, not a hobbyist. I have a job for a customer making special sockets and need to broach 1/2" drive holes. Since I don't need it often, I decided to take a chance on a cheaper tool for this one job. Big mistake. To start with, the pilot is too large in diameter to fit in a 1/2" hole. Pretty hard to make a 1/2" square hole if you have to start with a round hole much larger than that. Since I'm time constrained on this job, I decided to grind the pilot to the correct size and try the broach. The first cutting surface on the broach is too aggressive and I had to stop on the first attempt as I was about to break the broach in the press trying to get it to cut. If all you need is a 1/2"ish size hole in an non-precision application, and are cutting soft materials, then maybe this will work for you. The better choice would be to by a better tool.
