Trigger finger rehab
I have used these before when getting hand therapy. When I previously used them on a left hand ring finger, I kept losing them as they slipped off my finger and would disappear due to their flesh color, small size and rigidity. I am currently getting hand therapy for my right ring trigger finger and the hand therapist had me order a size nine rather than a size eight that I had been using on the other ring finger. She then molded it to fit my finger more snugly with a heat treatment. It still is rigid but has not slipped off. She molded 2 of the 3 that came in the package, leaving one for future sizing if needed. It is somewhat awkward to use as I am right handed but it has stayed on and helped my trigger finger not to trigger and allow whatever is swollen to go down.

Product is Magic
I am 75 years old and have had a swollen middle IP joint, enlarged and painful for a few months. Tried a different wrap around splint but it had to removed when washing hands. I tried Oval 8 and it is magic. It is comfortable to wear all day and night. I do take it off to exercise joint. Stays on, even when wet. It is amazing a little piece of plastic can do so much. It is expensive for plastic but worth every cent for my comfort.

Effective and you can use your hands easily.
I wear these for trigger finger. I like them because I can use my hands without lot of material getting in the way unlike some other splints. They are easy to clean and the quality is good, but you have to be careful if your hands get wet or you use lotion because they can slip off. Also, if you have a condition where your fingers swell or get smaller you can lose them that way , too.FYI,if you need splints for more than one finger, EZ splint sells a very similar product on Amazon in graduated sets of three. For example, I get the set of sizes 8, 9, and 10. They are a little less expensive than buying several sets in different sizes. But in my experiece, Oval 8 is the gold standard. These are expensive devices, so I wrap them with a little paper first aid tape, like Micropore, to make sure I don't lose them.To my knowledge, they only come in whole sizes.

Best for daytime activities, but easy to misplace if removed.
I have trigger finger and have tried different splits and such, which many help during night, but this splint is best for during day time activities. Easy to wear, since it does prevent you from bending finger, it is somewhat difficult to do activities, so takes some getting used to. I can just flip it around, and my finger can bend. The hardest thing at first was finding the correct size, I have tiny hands and wear size 4 wedding ring, so I assumed small I guess, I tried measuring but I still had to return and try another size. The splint does come with two sizes built into it, as one side is wider and so this helps with fit through day if you have little puffing or swelling, but it’s only about a 1/2 size difference. Yet it helps in comfort. The splint is small and beige and is hard to locate if you take it off, so have a safe placenta put it so you don’t lose it, it’s too much expensive to lose, and I think for it’s mayeri and all, it’s overpriced. It’s good product, I just know the price could be lowered for what you get, but they know it’s beificial and helps and there’s not anything the cumbersomeness of other choices. The price and how easy they are to misplace keeps me from giving it a 5 star overall.

They do what they're supposed to do.
I use them to straighten the joints on my middle and ring fingers. I wear a size 6 and they fit fine but have a tendency to twist so I need to adjust them frequently. After an hour or two I usually take them off. This is just my experience. They may work fine for others. Very expensive for three pieces of plastic!!

Get the right size and don't make a fist
These have really been helpful for my two trigger fingers. The sizes are pretty close to ring sizes, so if you have a ring of known size that just clears the knuckle, you can use that for starters. If you are one of the people whose fingers expand and contract due to fluid retention, amount of physical activity, or influence of mysterious ethers, you may need more than one size. I have four, from 10 to 13. Note that you can put them on in either direction, forward and backward, and get a half-size difference that way. These are not intended as finger supports for manual labor. I can't imagine someone breaking one, because if you try to make a fist it will definitely fight back. This can actually damage the knuckle, especially if you put the top band right on top of the knuckle, which I discourage (don't know what the manufacturer says). It works best with the top band behind the trigger knuckle, but can also be slipped in front, and it will help stabilize the joint.I use these when typing and using a pen. Typing is unaffected, but when writing I sometimes have to slip it off. Because this is easy, it's really not a problem. Your particular pen grip will probably make a difference.

doesn't feel as if being worn
loves the fact that they came as a 3 pack set. keeps finger completely immobile. so happy don't have to wear big wrist brace just for the thumb, (but carries it just in case for moral support). blends in with complexion so no one knows its being worn. on cold mornings is does contract in size but pop in the microwave for 5 seconds a couple of times and becomes pliable and conforms and molds back to the shape of the thumb for comfort as it solidifies. Wonderful product
