This is one of the best books on health. Dr. Suhus is a brilliant Ayurvedic Physician. I teach health and wellness and I have learned so much for this audio. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to really understand how the body works and a healthy lifestyle to live effortlessly.

Not much substance - can find all of this in a Google search or previous episodes of Dr. Oz
When my mother saw this on my counter, she said, "I hope you didn't have to pay for that." I expected more depth around ayurvedic principles, types and how various goods aid or hurt in the digestion or metabolism processes. I see the Hot Belly Diet is the follow-on to this- maybe this was the teaser. But if it is, it failed to intrigue me to read more.

Clear, practical and to the point
No beating around the bush. Very clearly explains key digestive timing concepts as not to make good food "putrid," etc. A great listen for a 1 hour or 2 drive. Explains WHY you should not graze and eat many meals before feeling hungry, maintenance of the digestive fire, clearing ama, or toxins in the digestive system, before it spreads elsewhere, etc based on wisdom from an ancient living system. The down to earth advice even motivated my relatives to change their eating pattern in order to reverse arthritis and a clean up a clogged lymphatic system. Biggest take away was that good food can turn "bad" if interrupted in the middle of the digestive process with more "good food" coming down the pipeline - undigested food, bad flow of nutrients, and the start of the disease process.
