Great recipes and pictures of dishes
This book has great recipes from good Atlanta restaurants - great concept for a cookbook. If you like fried chicken this book has several recipes including the famous Scott Peacock, Watershed, recipe. I haven't tried recipes yet but know these dishes/restaurants are famous in Atlanta. I rate at 4.5 stars but almost gave five stars. I would like to see a few more country food recipes (BBQ, etc) - but the book has a lot of recipes. The book also has pictures of most of the dishes so you know what they should look like.I highly recommend this cookbook - you won't be disappointed.

Atlanta Kitchens: Recipes from Atlanta's Best Restaurants
This is an excellent compilation, not only for Atlanta "foodies," but anyone who appreciates creative and tasty recipes that are easy to follow and enjoyable to consume! I've given the book four stars, only because, having dined at nearly all the represented restaurants, I noted that some of their "best" (read: my favorite) dishes have been omitted. Which ones? I would prefer Atlantans decide this culinary question for themselves! Suffice to say, "Atlanta Kitchens" provides excellent recipes for great dining. It's a book worth adding to anyone's "cook book shelf."

nice book
I was hoping for recipes from old Atlanta, but this is restaurants that are still open. Nice book, bit will keep looking for the one I wanted.

Great gift
This is the 3rd time I've purchased this book to give as a gift. It is a great conversation starter and the recipes are great. Since they are straight from Atlanta restaurants, they can be a bit complicated or lengthy, but a foodie will love it.

The balance seemed off on this
The balance seemed off on this. I was hoping for something like Savannah Chef’s Table which is a travel guide via foodInstead, the editorial up front seemed too large, and the storytelling throughout was too small. While it seemed the intent was to shine a spotlight on all the restaurants, the execution failed to deliver this in a satisfying fashion. I’ve noticed at least two restaurants in this book that have subsequently closed, and some choices which throw everything into doubt. For example, Mary Mac’s is a scam on tourists to convince them to never come back to Atlanta – and their fried chicken is one of the least impressive examples from the city – I suspect that it’s the white pepper that fails to deliver on the chicken’s potential. I would rather have chicken from the Colonnade or Carvers, both of which restaurants (but not their chicken) were included in the book.I’d rather read the historical exploration of Atlanta’s former tiki culture, as alluded to in the foreword, than what this book contained. That said, I appreciate the inclusion of the aspic recipe from the Colonnade. That is truly an unusual and signature dish.

Great Book. Great service.!
I LOVE this book! Ever go to a restaurant, have a great meal and wish you had the recipe? Well, this book provides access to fine Atlanta cuisine, with pictures and easy to follow, sensible, and practical recipes. I buy my cookbooks based on this model. I think you will enjoy it. As for the seller? Great service, price and item as described. I call that a “win-win” situation. Bon Appetite Y’all!

I really like this cookbook
I collect cookbooks so once I thumbed through it I knew it was as good as mine. So far, I've only baked the coconut cake and it is GREAAAAATTTT!!!! I'm sure I'll get around to trying some of the other recipes but I'm glad that I bought it.
