Brilliant book. A diverse range of poems made accessible to all through the carefully written commentaries. Some old favourites but also some that were new to me. As someone who has always loved poetry but only studied it under the guidance of a less than inspiring teacher at school this was the perfect read. Would highly recommend for anyone who is interested in poetry, as well as people who might think they aren’t!

Fantastic. A great read for poetry lovers but more importantly an excellent resource for teachers. Adopting a chronological approach whilst highlighting terminology will be appreciated by many.

Useful for quick access to teaching unseen poetry.
