I’ve had that Jackson hood on the left for over 10 years with no Major problems . Only the clips that hold inside safety glasses and the battery cover. “Easy repair” black tape and paper wedge.So I went with the another one when I seen it at a extremely affordable price ,it’s seems just as good ,easy to use controls w/gloves on too, but again taking and replacing the safety lens ,You’ve got to squeeze these tabs to unlock the cartridge to get access for Changing the lenses.And as a welder I can see them breaking off and I’ll be taping it all in. But it’s really a good hood for this owner of a welding shop! I use it daily for Cast,Brass,Stainless, Mild Steel, plasma,flame torch and grinding of course. Had it now for about a year and it’s a keeper just like our other Jackson’s.

Being an Ironworker I want to say... Awesome filter, second day after putting it in my welding hood. My buddy bumped it off the hook and it fell in the ocean. Rinsed it with some fresh water and let it dry in a bag rice. Been working just fine. I actually use this filter in my Miller digital elite hood. After seeing that the Jackson and Miller filters were the same size I decided to use this filter in my miller elite and set up the Jackson with a fixed shade 10 as my back up. Perfect, because my miller elite filter was messed up to . 😂

Works great had a hard time getting the clips to lock into my halo x

I purchased this product a few weeks ago. I highly recomend it. It is a great improvement over traditional lenses for out of position work.Fits in your existing jackson helmet an uses standard off the shelf clear protective lense on the outside.Cons:Inside protective lense is non- standard but is flat and rectangulr si can be cut from standard exterior lense in a pinch.
