Arrived promptly as ordered.
I have no way of rating the effectiveness of this product. If in the future I have a gas leak or CO event that this does not detect, maybe you can read about it in the news. I must rely on consumer testing groups. I rate the seller quite highly.

Installed
This product is difficult to review unless it does its job. And, if it does it’s job, it will be either perfect, or too late. I do, however, feel safer with it installed, and for that reason I’m giving it 3 stars.

Battery backup a problem
I can't talk of the accuracy or quickness of the units to detect a leak because we haven't had one. But after a prolonged power outage (~14 hours), I can say that the battery backup of these units is horrible. They take a 9 volt battery as a backup. About 3 hours into our power outage, all 3 start beeping and displaying low battery indicator. I replaced 2 with fresh 9 volt energizer batteries and 6 hours latter both started beeping again with the low battery indicator. I checked both sets with a battery tester, and both showed about 75% charge remaining. I finally just unplugged them all. Luckily we didn't need them that night. I wouldn't buy them again.
