Too many wine glasses these days are seemingly designed to be giant snifters, with volumes exceeding 12 oz. Red Co.'s 8 oz. is more practical, and its rugged stem suggests that i can handle rough treatment. It may be homely in appearance, but in this case function trumps form.

These wine glasses are small so you can fill them up and feel like you are getting a full glass of wine, instead of those jumbo wine glasses that are only filled 1/4, lol. They are sturdy, and shaped to work for red or white. Good every day glasses. Love!

The volume of the glass is exactly what I wanted (about 80% of many wine glasses). It has a tough, durable design - though it wouldn't survive dropping onto a hard surface.

Been looking for wine glasses that don't break if they tip over (Just gently tip over--not fall to a hard floor). You wouldn't believe how ultra-fragile some glasses on the market are! Have used these for a month. Once while hand washing them, one glass slipped out of soapy hands & bounced twice in SS sink. Didn't chip or break!! (Am hand washing them because these particular glasses don't fit in our dishwasher rack, so can't know how well they do in dishwasher. Like their appearance, & are perfect size.

Bought these glasses and they came in original box and packaging. I had been searching for this sturdy type of wine glass and absolutely love them.Ordered a second set and they came in a plain brown box with bubble wrap around the glasses all loose in the box. I happen to live these so won’t send them back but be aware you may not get new.
