Bought these as a replacement
These were cheaper than putting a temp gauge on the hot water side of my furnace. The old one was VERY old, so temp reading was not great. These did the trick.

know when your stuff gets too hot
I really like these. They aren't super accurate but are about 10+/- degrees. I put one on my phone on my ebike motor on anything that generates heat. It will let you know to slow your roll if it gets too hot. good, cheap and easy to read

Not perfect but it works
Like others have said:It’s smallIf you are attaching it to a curved surface it’s hard to get it to stay attachedWhat I did: I was attaching it to a hot water pipe and I held in place for a couple of minutes get the adhesive to stick better. Otherwise it would have curled up at the edges. The heat of the pipe probably helped in my situation. It’s been in place now for a couple months, so the adhesive is holding up.I needed this temperature range to check the temperature on a hot water heater output. It is “small” but the print is certainly readable. And the temperature reading appears to be accurate.I only needed one, but having a few extras is probably helpful if you’re struggling with the adhesive issue.

Great Little Temp Indicators in human comfort zone
These are bomb little temp indicators- Although probably not meant to be waterproof , a label was affixed inside my tub, and it has lasted well so far. 2 bars to 3 bars is great for adult baths. I also put one on some gloves so I could tell if water was too hot when washing someone's hair (2 bars good for that) because the water can be too tepid (1 bar) or getting spicy (3 bars) without being able for Washer to tell with gloves on. My only complaint is they so teeny, shipping is too much.

The adhesive is less than what it should be
Does not work well for rounded surfaces.

Great barrel monitor—Invaluable in summer.
Easy to install. Easy to read. Adheres well year round—even on my smaller diameter barrel (223).

Perfect for rifle barrels
Precision rifle barrels last longer when kept reasonably cool. This scale stuck to the barrel shank is the perfect tool for knowing when to take a break.

Great to keep track of rifle barrel temps
Instead of bringing an IR temp gun to keep track of rifle barrel temps it’s way easier and more convenient to use this temp strip. I recently tested and compared it against my IR temp gun and noticed that the strip was consistently reading 8-10° more than my temp gun. I compared my temp gun against an expensive laboratory grade one and it was consistently within 2-3°F in the < 150° range so I’m confident in the delta. That’s why I knocked off 1 star.Once the temp strip is maxing out I’ll know that I need to stop soon to let the barrel cool off.

So far it's doing what I need it to do
I knocked off one star only because I've only had it on my rifle for one trip to the range. That may go up or down over time.I use these to monitor rifle barrel temperature as well and I am very happy with them and very happy with their size. I don't need anything larger than what these are to monitor where the red bars are. If you have a rifle with a barrel enclosed with a slotted forend then it might be hard to see depending on where it is placed but my rifle's barrel is fully exposed and the temp strip fits on perfectly after wiping the area down with alcohol before applying. For me, I would not want nor need anything larger than these. A quick glance tells me what I need to know.As for how accurate they actually are that I do not know but my current plan is to keep the bars to 45c / 113f max . This allows me to pace my shots and hopefully gives me a consistent point of reference for how hot it gets and not have to guessThe only unknown for me right now is how long they function. The package says one year. Hopefully, that's one year after first applied and that does not apply or all the rest that are still in the package
