Great Filter, Highly Recommended
I’ve been using under the counter multiple stage filters for decades. I needed a new one for a new house. Consumer Reports and others recommended this one. It’s one stage. Flow rate is super. There are two versions, one with and one without installation hardware. I chose the later and installation was easy. The tubing and connectors worked perfectly. The filter housing is solid. Changing the filter is easy. The house is in south Florida with local water that is heavily chlorinated. You smell the chlorine when you put the shower on. The filtered water tastes great, namely it has no taste. Better than bottled spring water. Filter lasts 6 months. Highly recommended.

The Cadillac of Water Filters
Very high quality filter setup. Everything exudes quality, especially the precision laser cut fittings and the stainless steel enclosure. Tastes great... that is, it just tastes like water. Best part, this has really high flow, so filling pots, pans, and Nalgenes is very quick, unlike with other filters.Note: when I changed the filter after a year, there was what looked like some internal rust, but I'm told it's just mineral build up. I wiped it off, resealed, and checked back a month later, and it still looked clean.I recommend getting the $4 replacement gasket when you replace the filter each year, as the gasket can get pinched if over tightened, and when you replace the filter it will then leak slightly. I put in a new gasket as well, and everything was totally sealed.

Too bulky and too expensive
This didn’t fit into the space I needed and had a large, over engineered canister. It needs space to mount and service. Looks pretty, but a $50 filter from the hardware store might do the same.

If you want a truly effective, long lasting filter, this is the only one you should buy. It is worth every penny.
There is no better, and there isn't even anything as good. I have used one of these for over 8 years, slowly dripping filtered tap water into my fish tanks so that I can maintain a constant water change process. After all this time, without changing the filter, there is still not a trace of either bound or free chlorine (both of which I measure religiously) in that filtered water. The flow rate has slowed down over the years, of course, but the filter still removes EVERYTHING from that water. So I just bought two more, because I am adding a bunch of new fish tanks to my operation.

Fast flow rate
My new unit makes me realize how sluggish my old one had become (one minute to fill a gallon jug vs 4+ minutes). I use the filtered water in my Keurig coffee machine and to prepare cold brew ice tea by the gallon.

ditch wasting water
Did you know that some reverse osmosis kits generate 3-15 gallons of WASTE WATER for every filtered gallon? Look it up! We're in a drought! Do the right thing and remove your reverse osmosis system for this easy-to-install under the counter filter. Replace the $35 filter once a year. The water tastes great!

Beware: The unit is under pressure.
I purchased this filter on Jan 9, 2019. This is the unit on Jan 12, 2022 after my plumber disconnected it. I thought my water line had failed, but he said the unit failed when the water valve collapsed, spewing pressurized water that flooded my kitchen and basement. The unit takes up about 25 percent of your cabinet space, so keep this in mind if you want to mount it under your sink. I had my plumber remove it because a regular water filter like Pur does the same job without the potential to fail and flood your home. You also have the expense of it requiring a plumbing installation because it has to connect to your cold water line, and the plumbing expense to dismantle it when the valve fails.Believe me: you're not buying another unit after cleaning up the damage it caused.

If your drinking water is not good
This is a good product. The install was not difficult, I thought it thru, took my time and it worked out perfectly!Purchasing this system was a big deal for me!I thought about it for ever!!My city is good but the water is not good, now the water is so much better and I’m saving about $10.00 per week! Do the math.
