Best alternative to handmade prices
Boy, I really love these Hi Hats. I got a free shabby drum kit from a friend and I have been slowly upgrading all the pieces. After extensive research I really wanted to take plunge and buy hand hammered cymbals to replace my cheap Mienl starter kit, but balked at the prospect of cymbals starting at $350. I read lots of reviews of people saying the XSR line was as close as you can get to handmade sound without the price tag; I have to say I agree. The way these hats carry the sound and sizzle when partially open is simply amazing. The stick response is also fantastic.

Just a great cutting set of hats for the price.
Sabian has hit the jackpot with these hihats. The low price and sound quality will leave you wondering why you pay upward of £250 for some AAX cymbals. They may not have the fullest of tonal spectrums compared to other Sabian b20 lines but put these in the context of music and you won't even notice. The x-celerator hats have a clearly defined bright and cutting sound when pedaled.Closed tight these cymbals have a great clear sound all the way to a nice rocking slush when half-open.These are possibly my favorite cymbals in the XSR range.
