Lunchbot made their name by selling stainless steel lunch containers. Their products are of good quality, if a bit on the expensive side. This bag is one of their best values. The quality is very good for the asking price.This is my second Lunchbot lunch bag. I bought the first generation a few years ago. That first generation was barely able to hold the largest Lunchbot container. This second generation is a big improvement in every way. The quality of the material is much better. The first generation had cheap zippers. This one has been greatly improved.I bought the grey color. It looks very dressy and would be quite appropriate in an office situation. It looks like an adult lunch bag. I recommend this color for adults.An adult-sized Bento box fits in the bottom compartment. The upper compartment can easily hold a 16.9 ounce bottle of Diet Coke, an ice pack, and a set of utensils. Keeping the compartments isolated from each other is a good design choice. You can keep warm foods in the bottom while the top can hold cold drinks.The material and the build quality are very good for the price. However, I would be willing to pay a little more for a thicker exterior material. A thicker material would make the overall feel and appearance more premium. The lining on the interior could be improved. The tines of a fork can easily puncture the material. A thicker, stronger material would be nice. Self-healing zippers would be awesome. Make all of those improvements and I would pay $45 for the bag.The best lunch bag in the world, in my opinion, is the one from Yeti. However, its purchase price of four times the Lunchbots is excessive. Imagine how you would feel if you left that lunch bag at work and it got lost. Would you send your child to school with an $80 lunch bag? Certainly not if they go to public school. That's asking for a mugging! Alright, keep your hair on. I was only kidding. But you do get the picture. The Lunchbot bag is a very good alternative. It is attractive, well-designed, and good quality.I can highly recommend this Lunchbots bag for kids and adults. Pick the color that is most appropriate for your situation. Grey will suit someone who works in a bank. The brighter colors would delight youngsters.

My children and husband pack their lunches five days a week without fail. I was happy to try a new lunch bag. Today, I packed lunch for my son in it. It held a lunchbot box in the bottom compartment. The top compartment held a wide insulated lunchbot thermos filled with soup, an orange, and some plantain chips. My five year old likes how it holds a lot of food and the ease of repacking it (much better than his old bag).It is definitely solidly designed. The optional carrying strap is great. You can separate out cold and hot food with the two compartments. I didn't need to do so, but could see how a small freezer pack would fit well too. The flat bottom is good too for keeping everything oriented correctly.The grey fabric has a nice subtle tweed pattern and the insides look like they will wipe clean easily (haven't had to test that yet).I would recommend it for kids and adults. I also think it would be good for a picnic for a couple of people, because two lunchbot boxes, or a lot of sandwiches, fit in the bottom compartment, and then quite a bit more food in the top.Another great LunchBot product!
