Purchased as gift and the kids seemed to enjoy the steps to create an alien. However, it definitely requires adult supervision the first time.

Kids had fun.

Very good educational toy! Lots of fun. though younger ones will need some help. As a side note, I had to contact Customer service for a side issue and the response was over the top more than I expected! What a breath of fresh air in todays world! They gained a customer for life.

Kids love it.

This costs too much for what it is. Two easy get cheap grocery store ingredients and some cheap tool. What's even worse is that the stuff you make should be edible but they tell not to. Is that a liability thing or did they alter these ingredients and make them dangerous and so should kids be using them?

So much fun! I saw alot of reviews saying it was 'Messy' but it was not that messy to me. And that is not the point! I was able to teach my daughter about safety and proper clean up, and that was a benefit! We had a blast and we still have extra left to do it another time. We loved squeezing the little balls that it made, and cutting on the 'organs'. It was educational just as I had hoped.

Easy to use great for ages 8+

This kit was a lot of fun. Hard to do all of the items just like it was described in the instructions, but that didn't matter because even mistakes look like guts! I do wish we knew you had to setup the alginate ahead of time. It says you can shake off/on for 20 minutes, but even then ours wasn't fully mixed. We ended up leaving it overnight and the next day it was ready to go. Didn't diminish the fun, but I would've set it up ahead of time had I known.
