Does not work below 5V
I want to drive 3.4v 2 watt led with a 4.2v battery. I thought this module would work because description says 3v input. Unfortunately it doesn't.

Wrong product
While the product says it is a step down buck converter...but actually it is step up converter...Gave input as 12 V, 1Amp...and was able to get 19 V...but when tried to reduce to 9 V, the maxit could reach was 11.5 V...thus, it is a step up converter...sad, i got misled...very wrong on partof the seller to provide wrong info & delivering item without checking for what it is and intendedto do as per advertised...seems non-technical people are handling the sales who hardly understandstep up or step down in electrical design but are good only in pocketing the cash by any means..sorry state of affairs...please avoid & forgo...

If your requirement is not fixed
Go for it if your requirement is of varying voltage say 5, 6, 9, 12, 18, etc. In case you simply need to convert from 12 to 5v then 7805 is the cheapest option. This product gives flexibility to drop down voltage across a range both on input side like from 5v to 36v and on output side from 2v to 24v etc.
