I do not have a Dining table so really can't tell if it can handle hot beverage or not. But used it for different purpose please find my review below:1. I had baskets which had water tray below so needed some mat which can prevent the water from the surface.2. Quality is good. Thin table mat looks very good.3. I have placed very heavy baskets on this mat and the mat is perfectly preventing surface from any scratch.4. perfectly waterproof. It can hold water from soaking to the surface which was my real purpose.5. Claening is very easy.6. Dust does not stick to the mat you can just wipe it with clean dry cloth also for day to day use.7. Dries easily and leaves no water mark on the mat.Very good product at this price range. 6 piece table mat count and and also the dimension mentioned in the product detail is perfect no misleading information provided by the seller also.
