Bandai Hobby Build Divers Gundam 00 Sky Higher Than Sky Phase HG 1/144 Model Kit

If you're torn between the OO Sky and this OO Higher Than Sky Phase, I'd recommend this oneThe pearly white plastic has the same flaws as other HG kits with the same swirly metallic/gloss injection plastic (visible nub marks/seam lines that can't be removed), but the majority of those marks and seam lines are hidden very well. Another problem with this plastic is that it's not completely opaque and allows some light to pass through it (which could be a feature if you're into that sort of thing)The different shades of blue are very nice, and while the highlighter pink and yellow may not be for everyone, there's not a lot of it visible when the kit is put together - but what is visible is definitely a welcome additionThis kit also comes with some nice accessories. A beam rifle, two full beam sabers (my personal favorite), and two back-mounted weapons: the buster sword and a beam long rifle. Both the sword and the long rifle can fold out to be longer - but be careful, as the hinge parts are very fragile. I recommend sanding the hinge parts a little before putting the weapons togetherAside from the different colors, this kit also comes with a couple more accessories to help differentiate it from the regular OO Sky - a fully articulated action base in frosted clear orange and exclusive transparent effect parts for the shoulders and forearms. The action base alone should make up for the price difference, but the wing effects really make this kit completeAlso, just like its predecessor the OO Diver, the articulation is great. When paired with the included action base, this kit will be able to pull off nearly any pose you'd want it to. The arms may seem limited by the GN drives on the shoulders, but the drives have enough articulation on their own to be moved out of the way and accommodate the arm articulationAs far as extra parts go, the most interesting are clear replacement parts for your OO Gundam/OO Diver. Most of these parts are just plain replacements which were previously transparent light green, but what's really fun are the crystal clear replacements for the OO Diver's feet, abdomen, neck, chin, and front skirt - which were originally opaque yellow and red, but due to how this sprue was cast, these are now available in crystal clearOverall, there's not a huge difference between the OO Sky and the OO Higher Than Sky Phase, but it's because of those differences that I'd definitely recommend this kit

overall this was a great kit to build! the pearlescent white does pose a small problem when cutting them off the runner but the nub marks don't look too noticeable. the light blue and neon like pink and yellow do give the kit a vibrant look with the white as well. the only problem I had was for the sword joint that allows it to fold and unfold. the joint sometimes gets stuck to the peg it connects to and if you unfold it or fold it you may stress that joint and break it. It happened to mine and i just fixed it by wrapping the sword with thread, but now I cant fold the sword so that is a downside. Overall this kit was fun to build, the effect parts are really awesome to look at, and the colors and design was really well made.

Very easy to assemble and once it’s finished it’ll add so much awesomeness to your display. Try it under a black light and see its full potential. My only issue which is small is that the legs have a hollow feeling but that is easy forgotten when displayed.

This was my first gundam that i've ever bought and boy was i blown away! this was a fun thing to build and this gundam in particular was fantastic!

Way overpriced. Wish I did more research before purchasing. Nice kit but price should be under 30 for this particular model.

I liked the model however the head ornament(v fin or whatever you want to call it) is extremely fragile and I had to fix it with a little bit of glue. Weapons fit on nice, all the joints still hold up after a few months and the backpack mechanics for the hand it hand mode still feel gold.

This was a cool kit and I had no problems with it.

This is an impressive kit. As soon as this kit arrived, I didn't hesitate to put it together. The white plastic has an almost pearlescent effect to it, which really looks nice. The special effect parts have glitter within the plastic itself and are probably the main attraction of this kit. The added benefit of this kit is that it comes with a base to display the Gundam. The base is a really nice clear orange colour.This is not a kit that should be painted but can easily be panel lined. If you want a straight forward build and display kit, this is it, you won't be disappointed.

素組ではありますが、これは良いキットです。保持力やボリュームもあり、バスターソード、ロングライフルや光の翼を装備してもポロリもなく、安定していて素立ちも問題ありませんでした。ドライヴ部分も軸が可動しますので、飛行時はやや斜めにして光の翼を装備すると素晴らしいです！これは塗装で仕上げたらカッコイイと思うます、パールを使って！！ジーエンアルトロンの次はこのハイヤーザンスカイフェイズで決まりかな！ただ残念なのは劇中の巨大な光の剣が入ってないことです、入れて欲しかったです……。あとはサーベルの刃が少し短い気もします。それと両手首にナックルガードは劇中みたいに「クワッ」としたのがあれば良かったかなぁ～と思いました。

必殺技使用シーンの再現の為にかなり明るい水色で、ホワイト部分も不思議なパールホワイトこのカラーだけ好みが分かれそうです。自分は通常版の方が色は好みですが、それ以上に綺麗なエフェクトパーツが欲しかったのでこっちを購入。画像はブルー部分だけ若干メタリックに塗装してますがホワイト部分はそのままです。関節など基本的にはダブルオーのままのようです。ダブルオーは10年くらい前のキットですが、ちょうどHGが今の水準にランクアップしたのがダブルオーから、と言われるくらい当時としては可動が革新的なキットだったので、今のキットと比べても遜色ありません。ただしガントレットにエフェクトを付けたりすると肩のスカイドライヴユニットと結構干渉する感じでした。前述の肩のエフェクト、ガントレットやレガースのエフェクト、更に専用のクリアアクションベースまで付属しています。特にラメ入りのクリア素材で成形されたエフェクトパーツは素晴らしい。他の00キットにも欲しいくらいです。カラーさえ問題なければ通常版よりも遥かにこちらの方が遊び甲斐があるお買い得キットだと思います。あとソードの持ち手が緩いのが数少ない泣き所です。
