This Japanese Woodblock Print coloring book is part of the Dover collection. If you know Dover, you won't be disappointed. The pictures are clear and detailed. It comes with 30 pictures to color. On the inside of the front and back cover are the prints shown in their original colors so you can either color them the way they were originally designed, or you can use your own imagination to create your own unique piece. I purchased this book for the print of The Great Wave, but the other prints will be sure to inspire many creative outlets for me as well. This book is great if you are just looking for really nice pictures to color, or to use as a design for painting on a t-shirt etc. I received this purchase on time and in perfect condition. I am very satisfied with my purchase and this seller.

Wonderful renditions of classics well done for coloring. There are color pictures of the originals. The paper is quality. The reproduction is high quality printing. A really outstanding coloring book. Great for exposure to some fantastic art that may be new to many. I like this coloring book a lot.

This is my favorite coloring book by far - it has very good reproductions of original ukiyo-e that are challenging to color, but so fun. You can get as detailed as you want with shading, combining pencils and inks, etc. The inside covers feature small photos of the originals, which is helpful for choosing color schemes and recognizing details in the line drawings. If you're into coloring, and like Japanese art, this is a must have. I've attached one of the pages I did.

I lived in Japan for a year, my favorite souvenirs were woodblock prints I brought home with me. Now I can color my own! I love the emotion and energy I see in this art form. I am very glad that photographs of the original artworks are included inside the front and back covers so I can capture some of the essence of this art form with my own coloring.

The pictures are beautiful and high quality. I was hoping for more landscapes and nature, but that doesn't diminish from the beauty and quality. The only issue I had with this (and anther coloring book I bought) was that the pages are two sided. Really? For a coloring book? I have not touched it because I am waiting until I have time to go to kinko's and copy the opposite side pages so I don't have to worry about the colors showing through from the other side. I use pencils and still they sometimes show, I can't imagine using this book with gels, water colors, etc. I was disappointed by that. I've found with other coloring books that do not have double sided, the action of coloring sometimes transfers the next page to the back of the one I'm working on. That would be such a shame to lose every other page in this book. Wish they had not been so cheap with the printing.

This is an incredibly beautiful book, especially if you like all things Asian. The pictures are gorgeous, and they even have each picture colored (in front and back) to give you ideas. I'm using my own color schemes, of course, but I like the ideas. This book is only $4.00, but is worth much, much more.

I love the designs which allowed me to learn a bit on Japanese art. I found it useful too to see the actual colored artwork as possible pattern to work on. It would have been better though if the paper used was thicker and artwork printed on one side of the paper, rather than back-to-back.

I was looking for Japanese art. This book has not disappointed me at all. I love all the designs which is very rare in a coloring book. I will be coloring all of these. Some are very detailed and some are less detailed.

Es un libro precioso con unas ilustraciones magníficas,.Hubiese preferido que fueran las ilustraciones a una sola cara pero viene por ambas caras aún así es de los mejores sobre el tema de Japón que he visto.
