I really feel these filters help keep the tank clean :)

I've been buying these for a while for my turtle tank. Besides one instance where I only received 3 boxes instead of 4, no issues so far. They do get dirty and need replacing very quickly, but I guess that just means they're working right? Seems to keep the water looking decent when I don't have time to change out his water completely.

Only knock on these filters: there are a lot of small charcoal specks on the outside of the filter and one filter had a hole at the top of the filter.

These are a bit more costly, but worth the price. I have rescued red eared sliders that lay eggs every year, so always am raising a few hatchlings for 2 - 2 years in aquarium tanks. For me it's worth the cost of such an easy and safe filter cleanup and having the water stay clean. If you have turtles you know they're very messy.
