It's a cream inside a small tub with a screw on cap, so you do need to make sure you are using a clean finger when you get some out. It numbs the area nicely so any stretching is less painful.

Okay so here’s what’s up with this product. It’s a 10/10 from me 10000% due to the fact that I got this for tattoo use. I applied a thin layer first, let it dry, then gooped on a second layer and covered in plastic wrap for about an hour and a half. Now, there was a bit of a burning/numbing sensation but I really had no clue how numb I was until my dad grabbed a fork and poked at me about an hour in… NOT A THING, maybe some pressure and cold-ish sensation but absolutely zero pain. I was shooketh to my core and to think it had only been an hour. I left it on for about thirty forty more minutes and then took everything off and washed with soap and water… ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Crazy sensation too, pretty cool, and as a science connoisseur I had to trial run and peer review this product first. I even grabbed a couple box openers and butter knifes to gently poke and prod at my skin, ZILCH, ZADA, ZIP, NOTHING. NO MAAM, NOT A THING. That was at noon, it’s now almost 3:30 and this section of my arm is cold stone numb STILL. This reminds me of the nerve block injection surgeons have to give you prior/post surgery, it’s that effective. I’ll update again once my sister and I actually get the tattoos. Since this was just a test run, I am extremely impressed and for such a SMALL amount, to think it could do all this ????? My sister is deathly afraid needles and I can only imagine the anxiety relief she may feel after we use this product a few hours before our appointment. DEFINITELY BUY if you’re on the fence with these other numbing creams, I get it, but this is #1 on the list for a reason. I can only imagine it’s other useful benefits, although this seems to be more of a surface level numb and less than a muscle deep type numb. I’ll use it on my bum knee and ankle and see if it does anything too, look out for an update sometime soon on pain relief and tattoo help !!!!! :)

The cream works well, but there's just not much of it. I used it for a knee tattoo and it stayed numb for the whole thing (3 hours). I would recommend going about an inch further than what you think you should with the cream.

If you’re looking at this product for tattooing- works GREAT! Hear me out. I ordered this for a tattoo and then never went through with using it- some artists don’t like clients to use it and I felt awkward about asking. I found an artist I was going to repeatedly and mentioned it to them- they gave me the clear to try it the next time I came in. Here’s the thing, by this time, the cream was TWO YEARS EXPIRED. But, I already had it and figured I’d use it up- I’d been getting tattooed forever without it so if it didn’t work, whatever. I planned on following the suggestions: rub in thin layer, coat with a thick layer, wrap super tight with plastic wrap, leave on for 2+ hrs prior. When the day came, I got behind and rushed through application and was only able to let it set for maybe 45 minutes. I was getting around my knee tattooed and to no surprise, it didn’t work. Stay with me. A few weeks later, I was getting more work done on the same knee tattoo. This time, I was going to give it another go and make an effort to follow through if h properly. Two hours prior, I rubbed in a good amount then covered the area with a THICK layer. Then using plastic wrap, I wrapped it VERY tight. Took it off at the shop right before the stencil was applied. Now, seeing as I had the same area tattooed, I knew what to expect. Let me tell you, I COULD NOT FEEL A THING! Tattoo took a little over an hour and it stayed numb the entire time. I have tons of tattoos, and I wish I would have used this YEARS ago! I will ALWAYS make an attempt to use this and numb the area. Game changer!! Buy it! Worked wonders even after being expired!

Numb master now you know this is highway robbery.. I just bought a second bottle and it is insanely smaller than the first . Idk what happened to the big ones but you need to bring them back !!

I have been on an IVF journey, and today I had to do my first injection to the hip. It is a thick oil and a large and long needle, so obviously I have had high anxiety leading up to this moment. I researched this particular injection online to see side effects, and the stories made my anxiety worse. So I took the advice of these ladies and purchased a topical numbing agent. I could not find the one they suggested, so I tried this. I had ZERO pain after waiting the 20 minutes after applying a thick layer, and then injecting myself!!! I can't even believe it!!! I did not feel the needle, I did not feel the oil. It has been about an hour since i did this, and it is a teeny tiny bit sore which is expected with a thick fluid but still I barely feel it. Thank you to the makers of this cream, it made my journey practically painless, I will definitely stock up on this for the next 12 weeks of these injections, ugh! Almost there!! Lol
