Lifesaver for caregivers!
I am not one to write reviews but wanted to share: It may be a little pricey but it is worth every penny for it surely helps to take care of someone with mobility issues. As long as the person can pull up and lean forward a little bit as you stand opposite them, you can easily swivel them and safely transfer them to bed, chair or toilet. The disc which you step on is grooved and makes it easy to tell the person where to place their feet. The knee pads are soft and they are adjustable so you can make it the right position for the person's knees as the pads help them to lean forward comfortably. Other sit-to-stand devices I looked at were too big and cumbersome so I was blessed to have seen this pop up when on Amazon. If it wasn't for this device, my family probably would have had to place me in a personal care home. So, although it is almost $400, it is priceless to me and my caregivers.

This aid is an answer to a prayer...
After searching for months for an aid to move my husband from chair to wheelchair, etc., I have found it! He has upper body strength but his legs are very weak secondary to a brain injury. He easily pulls himself up and holds on to the handle while I pivot him 90 degrees. It's easy for him and my back hasn't felt this good in a year since I'm no longer having to hold him up while transferring. I showed and demonstrated the aid to my husband's PT who was unaware of such a device. He couldn't believe how EASY and SAFELY I could transfer my husband! He shared the info with his colleagues who were equally as impressed with it. My husband's PT and I agreed we do not need PT at this time due to this device. The aid is very, very sturdy and of exceptional quality. I easily transport it so I can use it anywhere.

Excellent transfer aid for person with upper body strength
My 95 year old mother had trouble standing and pivoting. I used the Etac Turner Pro to help her transfer to and from her wheelchair to the stairlift. I wish I was aware of this product earlier! The product is very sturdy and easy to use as long as the person being transferred has enough upper arm strength to pull up to a standing position. While there are few parts to assemble, assembly was challenging because the knee rests did not slide onto the pole easily.

Back-saver
Overall good and sturdy. Saved on our backs and made transfers generally safer. Would have taken 2 people otherwise. Works as it should. Few problems- the knee stabilizer flips, which was unnerving for my mom, and the handle height adjuster gave way a few times. It is adjustable for high or lower with a tightener knob to keep it there, but even through wrenched on by a strong guy, it still gave way a few times. There is a retractable button also (like what you find on commodes or walkers to adjust the height) but it only engages when in the highest position. There are no other holes for adjustment. If I needed to use this item longer, we were going to drill our own holes, but it is no longer needed. Seems that an item this expensive should not need to be jimmy-rigged.

Huge help!
This has been a godsend in moving my mom (almost 99 years old!) from bed to potty chair, etc., when she doesn't have quite enough oomph to do it on her own. Although she is tall, the only improvement I would like is the ability to lower the pole/handles just a tad more. However, tipping it slightly towards her helps on those days her strength is a little less. Great product and I highly recommend it. A little pricey, but made well and very sturdy.

Lighter weight wife, heavier disabled husband NO BACK STRAIN! No Effort!
First, this unit is literally saving my back! I was skeptical when I saw in the video caregiver putting foot on front to stabilize. I wondered how much I would have to hold it while my husband was pulling from the opposite direction. He is much heavier. Believe me, I put on foot on the pad and it is no effort at all. Again, no effort at all! The handle gives him something to hold onto and pull. No more grabbing the arms of the chair or me pulling him up from behind. Then it is a simple matter of turning the platform. You do this by rotating the handle. (watch a video). Then he can move his hands down the frame for support and settle into his chair, lift recliner or bed. So, helps with standing and rotating. If you are reading this, you must be caring for someone with mobility issues or you have mobility issues and someone is caring for you. It is worth the money. Very well made and not much to put together.

Essential transfer device
My father is 6 foot tall and over 200 pounds. He is unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. His physical therapist suggested this transfer disk to help me be able to move him in and out of his wheelchair on my own. I hold the top of the bar as a counter balance and he is able to pull himself up by grabbing the bottom of the oval bar and stand up on the dick. I can then rotate the disk, to transfer him in or out of his chair. I found lining his wheelchair up at a 90 degree angle to the seat I’m transferring him easiest. This piece of equipment has been a lifesaver. It enables me to help my dad without breaking myself in the process.
