Q: Can you fry food with this flour?

Yes, you can coat/dredge a piece of fish or chicken, like you would with a recipe calling for all purpose flour, then pan fry and it does provide a nice golden finish.

Q: Can you make farofa with this or is it too fine?

Hi there, Farofa is traditionally made with a coarser version of cassava flour and then toasted. Our cassava flour is finer and is best suited as a replacement for all-purpose flour. Hope that helps!

Q: Can you use this flour to make homemade pastas?

This flour makes the closest thing in texture and taste to wheat pasta that I have found. I was thrilled to finally eat delicious pasta again. It also makes great tortillas. Be warned however that it probably won't work in a pasta-maker. I roll it out and cut it into fettucini-style noodles. It does work OK in a tortilla press. I put parchment paper top and bottom in my press and it is neat and efficient. Good luck!

Q: I read a recipe to replace egg for French toast. Replacement was cornstarch, but too much calories. Cassava could be a better replacement??

Hi there! I've never heard that before. Would certainly be worth a try though. One word of caution however, cornstarch is the extracted starch of corn, and tapioca is the extracted starch of cassava, so that may be a more suitable replacement for what you're looking to do with it.
