Q: What are the dimensions of the cutout for this?

3/4" less than stated dimensions.

Q: i am still struggling to find an adapter to connect this stove to a 16 oz propane canister. Anyone?

I ordered adapters on Amazon. However, you also need to remove the regulator that comes in the stove or it doesn't work right. Huge pain for me to get this right!

I believe so. Check your LP connections with a soapy water solution in a spray bottle for leaks when done with installation. Be safe and check. You'll do fine.
