Season 2 makes Clementine the protagonist
It's really nice to play as a young woman in a video game. The Walking Dead is a story of survival and vulnerability, and playing through season 2 as Clementine is a refreshing way to experience this thoughtful story. Sometimes decisions you would like to make get veto'd by adults in the game, which is fitting. Sometimes, your perspective as a "kid" is just what the group needs. While Season 2 as a whole ranks below Season 1 in my opinion, it's still a worthwhile journey for any fan of adventure games, zombies, horror, or emotional drama. Strong language and adult themes are commonplace here, so be aware. Even though I prefer Season 1, I'm still giving S2 five stars because of the amazing songs at the end of each episode in Season 2 ("In the Pines" from Ep 2 in particular), and because it's rare that a game that can make me so worried about the protagonist.

Great game. Must have for Walking Dead fan
I was hesitant to buy this game at first but boy am I glad I did. It starts off a little slow but picks up pretty fast. It's not a "kiddie" game which I thought it might be at first. The decisions u make affect the game so u can play again to see different outcomes which is pretty cool. The overall story is cool and graphics smooth. Controls are only complaint but really it's not that bad. I recommend this game and look forward to playing the second game.

As good as the previous game.
Carrying on in the footsteps of the previous game's "season", Walking Dead: Season 2 is a worthy successor to the "Game of the Year". The tense atmosphere almost has nothing to do with the restless corpses assailing the humans, and more to do with the incredible writing for the characters themselves.Clementine has gotten a little older and a LOT wiser since we last saw her, and her struggle to survive in this world gone mad is a compelling one. Keep an eye out as the game progresses... you just might see a familiar face or two from the previous game. All in all, I give this game and its predecessor highest marks across the board. I've rarely felt so emotionally attached to game characters as I did to these ones.

Fist one is better
First one had better characters, better story, better everything. I played the first episode of this and I haven't gone back to it yet because it's just not as good as the first.

Great Game Let Down By Poor Optimization
If you were a fan of the first season, or Telltale games in general, then this one is for you. It has a fantastic comic book style and some truly emotional storytelling. I was skeptical about this season to start as I loved Lee and had no desire to traverse the world of The Walking Dead as a little girl. The game quickly made sure to let me know it had no intention of toning itself down to fit the character's age. In fact many of the set pieces in this game are far more brutal and nerve racking then the prior season. Clem really grows into her own and depending on your decisions can be sympathetic but capable or deadly and ruthless. The only story related complaint I have is the use of the 400 Days characters. With the exception of Bonnie the others show up maybe once each and have only one or two lines of dialogue. Given the build up from their solo introductions I had expected a bit more out of them. All that being said there is one con to this package, and sadly it's a fairly large one. The game does not run smoothly. I've had this issue with virtually every Telltale Game I've played but here the hiccups were more frequent. Nothing sucks the tension out of a scene like watching a still frame for 30 seconds while the game loads in between shots. If these load times were occurring between separate scenes it would be okay but they happen in the middle of tense battles or conversations. It ruins the atmosphere and they become more frequent as the episodes carried on. Having played through the entire first season before this one I found it interesting that there were no hiccups there. While the graphics are slightly better this go around and the game adds a few new mechanics I don't see why either of those two things would cause such slowdown. My only other complaint, which is minor, is you can't pause during the credits. This means you have to either sit through them or close out the game to skip them. I get that they want us to acknowledge the people who worked on the game but forcing me to watch the credits every single episode isn't a great way to accomplish this.Overall this is a fantastic game with some great and gut wrenching storytelling. If they could iron out the optimization issues this could be perfection.

Perfect gift for my brother
This was supposed to be a surprise Christmas gift for my brother, but he guessed it like four days before Christmas and ruined the surprise -_-. He recently played and completed season one + 400 days, so it only made sense for him to continue the story. He is currently on episode 3 so he has not completed the game yet. It has the same art style and gameplay as season one. Totally worth it if you are a fan of the game series.
