Fortnet products are great and technical support is amazing.
The device works well. The device does require a maintenance contract to get support after 90 days. If you want to manage the device from the cloud that is called fortiswitch cloud which is an additional cost of around $25.00 .the maintenance cost is around $70.00 and will expire after 1year. You can renew it at the time of expiration. Fortnet offers 1,3and 5yr maintenance.

This switch can integrate with the Fortigate and turn your family or workplace into segmented protected networks. Each port on the switch can convert to an individual interface on the firewall , allowing each connection to be individually managed!

Works as intended
The 8th port for POE is not output POE. It's to power the switch from another POE source. Other than that, it's does what it's supposed to.
