Dysphasia cup
I have a daughter with dysphasia and a trigger delay. When she was younger she needed honey thick liquids. She has gotten a bit better at protecting her airway and preventing aspiration. She still has struggled with water and clear liquid. We tried this cup to see if it could help her fluid intake. She was able to drink quite a bit more water using the cup. At least 10 more oz a day. It’s got a great measuring scale on the side as well. Less coughing while drinking for sure.

I bought this for its intended reason, it works perfectly fine, it is easy to use. I think it's a good value for the money and of good quality.

Nice cup ……… Worth $36.00 …….?????????
What stirred me to order this cup was the statement in the listing that said it was for Parkinson’s patients. Swallowing can be difficult at times for us also. The cup makes apportioning a 5cc or 10cc portion very easy. Fill the cup with the liquid or semi-liquid serving. (do not overfill it). . Attach the appropriate base to the sipper and serve. After each sip the cup is returned to an upright position and the base refills, ready to be sipped again. The cup is very easy to clean and assemble and disassemble. It even has a separate tube for dispensing in a prone position. My gripe is the price and it cost this product one star.To respond to my title. “NO”. BUT, if you need it it is priceless.

Works great
The cup works well in terms of dispensing only the measured amount of liquids at a time - either 5 or 10 cc. The cup is easy to hold due to the dual handles, and is very easy to clean. The recessed area for the nose is also a great feature.

Well made
I'm reviewing: Dysphagia Regulating Drinking Cup for Swallowing and Disorders People,Dispenses 5cc or 10cc of Liquid Each TimePricy but the quality of the materials seem to be good. Everything has smooth, soft edges, nothing to scratch the skin. The lid presses on with some effort and is spill proof, but the sipper isn't quite. I like the extension for drinking lying down. It fits tightly over the mouthpiece and is made of a thick, but soft material, making it comfortable to bite for a secure hold while drinking. That alone is going to move this cup up on the use first list. The handles are secure. The cup is quite large for a 250 ml capacity. I don't feel like reducing the dispense volume includes reducing the overall container capacity. More trips to the kitchen for me.

No more thickening beverage for esophogeal issues
I picked up this cup for an older friend who was struggling with having to thicken everything she drank so it wouldn't go into her lungs. She has been able to manage her own cup and enjoy having her favorite beverages again without thickener. The cup usage is intuitive, and the extra top attachment for drinking while prone is an excellent idea. Competitively priced with other similar cups.
