Not sure yet how well this is going to work. You have to have your cell phone to trace the keys. If you leave them in a purse together...like I tend to do, then this is useless. I have tested it a few times and it tells me if they're in my house or not. I guess that's good? I'm looking for one now that will send an audible sound so I can locate them in the house.

Backstory...I lose and forget important things frequently...so...I jumped on the chance to try and purchase three of these, for the three things I forget the most.All in all, it works well...but...the button on the device is VERY sensitive. Also, pressing the button overrides the mute setting on you phone, and plays the alert signal (a really nice little diddy actually) at top volume. This makes things difficult if you inadvertently press the button in a typically quiet place, such as church or a library. I do like that you have the option to change the battery, which makes it less wasteful...but...I suggest that the button on the 2.0 model shouldn't be as big or as sensitive.Update: The devices spontaneously ring at random...REPEATEDLY...without the app open, and without the button being pressed. For example, it's 12 am, The device on my house keys is ringing on it's own, because I don't have the app open.All in all, I would buy something else....because this thing needs a serious improvement.

Very disappointed in this; bluetooth makes it very limited; if you have to find the item it is attached to, you can't hear it beep and have to track it down with GPS telling you how near you might be to it (though the GPS showed it across the street when it was on my table). When I did it in reverse, using it to "find" my iPhone, the iPhone rang but I couldn't get it to stop ringing -- eventually I had to completely shut down my iPhone to get it to stop. Emailed "instructions" from the seller were useless. I tried using it as a camera trigger but once it was set up for the iPhone it would not work on the tablet, so it isn't even of value as a camera trigger to me. I would not buy another one and do not recommend it.

I was disappointed in what I expected. If FindX is on keys or in a purse, you have to be within 100 feet of the item for it to activate. So if you left the item in a restaurant on in another house, it won't help. If the item is in the house where you are, the beep is so slight that you can't hear it very easily. In reality have to be within 5 or 10 feet to hear it. Not what I hoped for.

Although I had issues initially, after updating the latest app upgrade the device has worked flawlessly. After reading other comments, purchasers need to realize this is a Bluetooth enabled device and can not not out perform the given technology it uses.

After being puzzled by this not working I tried it on my exact phone but with a different number and the app loaded and it worked like a charm. This just had a conflict with that phone. I love it and it works good
